Data isn't really that important in this case. I expect one of two scenarios, with about the same outcome.
1) FFG contacted previous worlds high placers and asked "What fleet are you thinking of playing this year", the response was "The same thing I played last year" to the tune of %50 representation of Y+X+3/4. "Why?", "I win most of the time for 7+ points, and when I lose I usually get a 5".
2) FFG didn't contact anyone, and decided by executive action that Y+X+3/4 wouldn't have %50 representation this year.
Armada isn't a static game. If releases don't force meta changes, other steps must be taken. Competitive lists in the hands of competitive players that don't change for significant periods of time is what has hurt this game over the course of its life.
Trying to quantify data is interesting, but pointless. What matters is making players move on for THE premier event, worlds. So that it is an interesting and entertaining event for the community at large.
*Note: as far as I can tell, FFG tried to nerf Y+X+3/4 through neglect/competition in two waves. It didn't work as far as I am aware? It was still a very powerful list with very few counters.
