Accurate cards, please, FFG.

I dont think there is anything wrong with asking for better product support for a game I like. I havent seen anyone (yet) take up arms and encourage riots in the streets. If we never talk about the issue, as negligible as you feel it to be, nothing will ever happen. FFG isnt a group of mind readers.

Be that squeaky wheel brother!

What do we want?

REPLACEMENT CARDS!

When do we want them?

NOW!

If you show up to play the old Most Wanted, you'd be wrong. How are you NOT supposed to know the erratas? I'll leave it there, as your tone is definitely telling of your dislike of something.

Because we're not playing "Name all the changes in cards" we're playing Star Wars armada, where my list is played face-up exactly because my opponent is not expected to memorize it, or worse: Memorize the errata to it.

So everyone is expected to check for errata or FAQ before a casual game?

No, it’s the TOURNAMENT FAQ after all ?

You can still play a casual game and try to do it by the rules. But maybe thats just our group.

Aha!

You CAN.

But un like the statement I was quoting, there is no inherent EXPECTATION to ...

that is my point.

Yep, but if I show up at a FLGS, on Armada night, for a casual game, are we going to be playing under tournament rules?

You can bet on it! ;)

So learn them.

Or since you can have outside notes and not be breaking rules, have notes.

Problem Solved.

or rather, Problem SEP fielded...

Euther way ??

Well.... maybe not at Empire. I'm gonna talk it over with the group but I think we're gonna have nights that run capless. The hard cap just doesn't make much sense in our meta as we never had the avoidance flotillas/flotillas "spam" to begin with. If players ran 3+ flotillas they usually put them to work.

Let me ask this question. Is there anyone opposed to making updated cards available?

If they were available through some yet to be determined manner, would you be interested in them?

Because I honestly just think that if it makes enough business sense for FFG, they may decide to do it. That doesnt necessarily mean some abstract petition or thread will sway them, but I am curious to see what the actual interest level is.

That's a completely valid point, and it makes sense, but that's not what brings about change in Armada.

REPLACEMENT CARDS!

NOW!

Only 30 or so complaining threads to start in our noble cause for replacement cards! Then FFG will cave to us as well!

What % of the top 4 lists in any given tournament have cards requiring a reprint?

It’s not just business sense that is a requirement/barrier

its LFL approval

What is LFL? Not familiar with the term.

INTELLIGENT FORUM DISCOURSE!

When do we want it?

RELATIVELY SOON, PREFERABLY!

Lucas Film Limited

LucasFilm Limited.

Everything Star Wars... EVERYTHING... even the goddamn FAQs... have to be approved..

Really? Thats both surprising and yet somehow unsurprising. But surely they dont need LFL approval to reprint already approved game changes?

Ha! This is the internet! Intelligent discourse is superseded by emotion driven rants! :D

Yep.

Bevause either the art changes, layout changes, or MEANS OF DELIVERY changes, which makes it a new product or item for approval, I figure.

Tgey have to be approved against everything — including nebulous concepts like bringing something into disrepute.

Edit:

And also... Don’t call me Shirley ?

That's nice. At least I will have a chance to try out the Thrawn regenerator.

So brand protection covering all the bases. I get it. Still, i dont think that means it would be as difficult as the implication though. Just add them to the next meeting when the next wave approval happens and then release them in some agreed upon manner. I just think the prize solution is way too slow and uneven and prefer a more normalized delivery method.

I mean, there HAS to be a legal reason as to why they wouldn’t just drop an upgrade card pack.

The margins on it are fantastically good ...

But despite the demand for it existing FOR YEARS in X wing, it hasn’t happened.

There IS business sense in doing it.

The fact that they have NOT points to me that they MUST be restricted outside of their control somehow.

Which makes demanding it, in sorry to say, a futile effort in whining.

I have looked at the xwing faq, and you're right, its ridiculous. Still putting my voice out there (figuratively) even if their hands are tied. after all, maybe they feel its untenable only in XWING? we dont actually know.
