Imperial Equivalent of Commandos?

Looking for an Imperial equivalent of Commandos then I would say Storm Commandos as apposed to your standard scout troopers. But I do like the previously mentioned idea that releases don't need to be in parallel with each other.

Do storm commandos even exist anymore? And what can they do that deathtroopers couldn't?

I was hoping the E web team would be more like this, more cool looking. Rules wise not sure how it should move and be deployed, should it have a notch in the base like a speeder so it's not too maneuverable? Or just be on a larger round base.

Personally, I hope the e-web is a stand alone piece - that there isn't a person sculpted holding it, and any adjacent trooper could use it.

Heck, make it a dual card upgrade. (Similar to x-wing) On one side is is disassembled and you reduce your squad speed by 1. Action to deploy.

When deployed, if trooper adjacent, get a long range attack, but the e-web can't move.

Yep. They were in a (now defunct) Mobile game which was canon (though events in gameplay were not necessarily) and their helmet was supposedly in rogue one.

And Storm Commandos are different than Deathtroopers. SC are a general special forces, they do infiltration, sabotage and destabilization missions, they fight in extreme combat situations and in Legends had a big naval element, including exclusive hardware. Death Troopers are seconded to Imperial Intelligence, they mostly act in a protective role for valuable imperial personnel and assets and can act in a stealth mission capacity when you want to be extremely stealthy.
