I disagree, or at least I think the squad building forum is a lot more constructive, and good threads can build up a lot of collective wisdom and insight.

This good thread will sadly get pushed down when more dumb clickbait topics get posted or how everyone is going to freak out about how OP TLT are or whatever.

As someone who unfortunately created one if those clickbait threads (although I swear I was trying to do the opposite) I have to agree with @Boom Owl. This forum needs the power of positivity and nothing has been a bigger positive for me in this game than this list. I kid you not, whenever I see a new post in this thread I get a big dopey grin on my face. Everyone needs to find or create their own 'big dopey grin' thread and keep it on top.

Heck yeah I agree, let’s keep posts with the funnest squads that can peek through the competition like this one

its funny I have been smashing with this list online, then I changed it up and went QuickDraw Rac(because I have loved playing Rac since his release) and I ran into it and smashed them. It’s like ooooo I know this list very well, I hope you do too

either way it shows that this list, once mastered, can really hold its own, but without the practice can fall apart, this game use to be so much more about this!

This list is really about Xwing at the core. Moving, getting angles, good firing.

I find the Silencer to be my all time favourite ship, I used to love Fenn Rau (Scum version), when Attanni was viable, it helped him out so much, but now I am totally digging the Silencer, have played both with Kylo and in another list Double Silencer with FCS, Auto, Intensity, Optics, which works really well, put this with OL, found OL died every time, but the Silencers won thru, maybe only with 1 HP left on each, but it really helped having an evade, a focus and a TL from FCS.

Love also playing Kylo he 47 point version, but by the end of a tournament I have a head ache :-) but it is worth it.

So, have two of them now, just need to work out which version of it is better.

I saw the list that won in England with QD and Epsilon ace, also a great list, and fun to play, all in all the Silencer gives me a lot of pleasure to play.

I'm right there with you. Scum Fenn was my boy till Nym an the Attanni nerf neutered him.

Your Intensity version has peaked my curiosity. I might have to try it.

The little "+" next to "quote". It will let you select multiple posts to quote, then you got the "quote" button that pops up.

I was thisclose to buying a 2nd TIE Silencer today. It's X-Wing night at the FLGS, and I haven't bought anything in a while, and I feel like I kinda owe the store. I'd kinda made up my mind that this was what I was going to buy. But then I read the Second Edition announcement, and I'm not buying anything for First Edition unless things get steep discounts. And that irks me. I kinda want to fly the list, but how badly do I want to fly it for the next four, five months before 2.0 comes out?

What's the best alternative? QD, Silencer... Generic Defender? Inquisitor? Sigh.

PS-1 x7Defender instead of a silencer, and add expertise to QD.

Well, I'm sure this will ruin my streak, but I just finished Day 1A at 5-1 with this list, qualifying for Day 2.

My only loss was to a version of fairship rebels that featured Strezzra in Biggs's place and I ended up taking a grand total of one shield from that list (part of it was dice but I could have made better choices). Faced a Raclo+Vader, Jan+Norra+Low, Vessery+QD+Omega Leader, Dual Shadowcasters, and Crimson Specialist+Miranda+Strezzra.
