Yes I'm a broken record (who lives longer???)

So folks,

I've posted this list for critiques a few times:

Keyan (Trick Shot, Collision Detector, E2, Maul)

Ezra (Snap Shot, Gunner, R3-A2)

PS 9 Poe (VI, Adv. Optics, BB-8, Black One, Autothrusters)

And honestly, I really like it - how it flies, its versatility, its target priority challenges, its action efficiency, its control elements.

The only list I am considering replacing it with is this:

PS 9 Poe (VI, Adv. Optics, BB-8, Black One, Autothrusters)

AP-5 (Gunner, R3-A2)

Lowhrickk (Selflessness, Ezra, Maul)

Poe stays the same and does his stuff. AP is much cheaper than Ezra (though he can't pre-action stress someone), but he would die a lot faster on his own - however, Ezra is always the first target anyway, so I, for one, wonder: Would Low's ability and selflessness keep AP alive about as long as Ezra? And is the downgrade in PS and losing Snap shot worth having Lowrickk, who has way more staying power than Keyan, and can't be fenned, but doesn't hit q u i t e as hard and can be easier to outmaneuver?

Hrm. I flew against an Expertise/C-3PO Lowhhrick the other day, which was pretty strong (along with Rey, they went undefeated in our little 10-player Kit tourney). Tanky and hard hitting, and the kind of thing that if it's down to a 1-on-1might be hard to bring down (a friend of mine was flying Accuracy Corrector B/SF-17s, and literally could not deal damage once down to one ship). So I keep wondering if Selflessness is fully needed.

I've also seen seen a lot of Hera on Snap-Bot Ezra. Tactician could fill the empty crew on Lowhhrick, and you'd have a potent amount of control, and split between ships, too (and ships of the same PS, for convenience). That eats any bid points, however.

I flew against a similar ReyLow.

I'm not personally keen to switch up these lists themselves - I'm more curious which people think would do better. Will AP live as long as Ezra? Is losing Snap Shot Stress too big a deal? Is Low's greater staying power and bigger arc worth the slightly lower damage output and lower maneuverability?

Hmm...

Low lasts longer than Keyan and Ezra lasts longer that AP.

Have you used any of the lists? Who gets targeted first?

I would imagine that usually the stress dealer would be attacked first

I have flown the 1st list many times, and it is quite strong. I just wonder if Low/AP could be stronger...

And yes, Ezra has been hit first typically.

I prefer your first build. But I’m biased because I like B-Wings.

I think I would back the first build and I would look more at tweaking Ezra's build to give him better survival instincts, I think. Snap Shot & Gunner is a lot of extra points to sink into dealing a single round of 2 stress tokens before he goes 'pop'.

@Stay On The Leader The challenge is, if he doesn't deal double stress, he's not nearly so much use. But do you have something in mind for his survivability?

I’m not sure what SOTL had in mind, but I can think of a few if you remove Gunner:

-Chewbacca: gain 2hp

-Hera + Shield Upgrade: gain 1hp and mobility

-Hera + Stealth Device: with his pilot ability he has 3 modified green dice

- Baze + Pulse Ray: gain regen and can stress 2 ships

I've been using Ezra with Inspiring Recruit, Elusiveness, and R3-A2 fairly successfully. It doesn't deal the double stress but he's incredibly survivable and still keeps a ship stressed which is still an advantage. He also removes his stress each round to be able to toss out coordinates like candy since he doesn't need a focus for defense. With the 4 extra points you could do a lot. I personally love plasma torps and VI on Keyan to strip shields off Miranda's, VCX, YV, Palp Shuttles, etc. and Fenn can't stop a fully mod shot with them.
