What a minute, Fuzz... weren't you the one not so happy with the state of the game the last 6-10 months? More so and more vocal than anyone else in our "group?"

FFG have (obviously) seen the writing on the wall and been working on this a while (ver 2.0). The game has needed a fix. They've made it AND made a fix for all of us with lots of 1.0 stuff. Most game companies just throw out all the old stuff and say, "buy all new. so sorry."

From what I see, the 2.0 fix is everything Xwing needed to make the game more fun and open to all types of play with all the ships available. It's not the perfect fix and it's not free, but they obviously have listened to the community the last 12-36 months and tried to reboot in a way that makes the game better AND does not gouge the veteran players who are well invested in the game.

You've got months to consider. But all your stuff is still good and viable and useful. The community will rebound and Xwing will be bigger than it's ever been. I have no doubt that Xwing will continue to be the biggest FFG game for many, many years still.

THAT SAID. Enjoy Armada too. IMO, Legion is better than Armada. But I like to watch Armada. My biggest problem with Armada is the cost to get in and catch up and how that correlates with how many players are around. But that is just my opinion.

IN the end, my wookie friend... you'll have all of us at Game Matrix to play mini's with no matter what. We are a fun a group, right?

Looks like upgrade cards are going to follow the Legion model where you don't need to buy ships from a faction you don't play just for a card you need.

I hear that is the idea. SO I could sell off my scum and not bother upgrading it? Hey, @RiddleMeBats... I may have scum ships to sell to you cheaper than retail if you want to hold off on boosting your scum up. We can discuss.

I'm pretty impressed with the changes. Love the medium ships and the way turrets arc work like the movable arc now instead of 360 all the time.

I’m cooling off a little more. Most likely just play the best faction. Imperials. 1 starter 2 upgrades. I’ll have to start slowly. Which will make it so I get me **** kicked a lot again. Ugh

It appears that they are REALLY trying to make all ships useful and that the value of each of them in a squad is worth what the corresponding squad cost is.

The difficulty for all of us is getting used to the new way things work and interact. Some of the terminology has changed. Many things have been simplified. You and I equally kick each others can. That probably won't change.

I'll be there tonight, but I'll be playing Armada.

I'll have my Xwing stuff, but hoping to get a Legion game in with Charles since I've yet to get minis on a table yet. Frogg may make an appearance tonight as well.

IF I get there and Charles is not there yet, I'll be up for an Xwing game, but will be hogging an entire table so that Charles and I can attempt an 800pt (6x3) Legion game. I am planning to arrive early enough to snag my table.

I'll be there for X-wing but I might run a little late. The day seems to be delayed and long already so we'll see what happens.

May the 4th be with all of us.

Ummmm. That should be @Wedge1126 he’s the Star Wars rules encyclopedia. I think he’s the TO for Armada also. Plus he’s awesome.

@FuzzywookieI haven't run a tournament in awhile. I'm not as up to date on rules in general these days.

@Sephlar I'll let Charles know you'll be there. He wasn't sure you'd be there.
