Yeah, she's an auti-include. It either shuts out your opponent from being able to cancel, or at least makes the fate balance a bit more in your favor. Also just wrecking their ability to do combat tricks even more than Watch Commander.

I don't know. I haven't found Sabotage to be so overwhelmingly good as to be an auto include so I'm a bit leery of a version that costs an extra fate and makes you dishonor someone. The additional flexibility of when to play it is nice, but still...

@shineyorkboy, a large part of the appeal for sabotage was against crab, because you guys have the scary holdings. I wouldn't imagine you'd get as much use out of it as others might.

Both are probably not preferable, with Tetsuko I will drop Satoshi.

The dragon card annoys me, we are have the fewest in clan courtiers, the kitsuki family is supposed to be our courtier family, and the mirumoto family is supposed to be our duelist family. Yes there would be exceptions, but flesh out our zarking courtiers before giving us kitsukis that aren't.

If she were a courtier she would be a good card, as it would open up a bit of a different playstyle for us that is currently unavailable, a playstyle that could actually make good use of her ability. Instead, of the two-ish decks we've got she falls into the one that does not have a slot for her because it runs two better three costs, and the other one is the monk deck where she really doesn't fit.

Ooof, I want play that Yasuki but his ability isn't stellar, especially when the first event played will likely be to remove him. +1/+1 isn't exactly going to do much in the face for that. However, paying 2 for a 1/1 permanent stealth, might be worth that alone?

On discord you ould think the card is a Wandering Ronin to all the Crab players. They REALLY hate him for some reason.

@psychie The Shomon is a solid card (good stats for its cost) with a workable ability that should come in handy for its use. Though I agree with your point about the families that make up Dragon, I find this card heads and tails above the Troll, which is a joke imo.

Because its another defensive bonus and they want something that is useful on the offense most likely.

Covert doesn't work on the defense. So, this is not a purely defensive character. It's useful on both offense (covert) and defense (bump). C'mon Crabs, think outside the Wall box.

Shomon is cool from a fiction point of view: she's a character from the City of Lies box set that had a slight tweak to her name before being used in the Garden of Lies fictions.

ETA: And I just realised that Oguri is Taka's kid. Of course he has covert

It does in that you can't avoid the defender with your own covert. That said I agree it is a solid option fro Crab as a 2 cost and the complaints seem misplaced, but than I'm not a dedicated Crab player so am obviously horribly misinformed as to what they really need to get back to being on top.

I agree it's a decent ability and good stats, I just think it would be better on a courtier and in general we need another courtier. There's a build I've been itching to try since we got seeker of fire last worlds, and all that's missing is at least one more courtier.

If you use Shomon's ability to redirect the dishonor from playing your own Spies At Court, would it consider the cost not having been paid, and thus not resolve?

Cost was redirected not cancelled, ergo cost was still paid.

If I go to a store to buy a package of cookies, and while there I run into my buddy who pays for my cookies out of kindness, I still get the cookies, and the store still gets paid.
