Hawk Tattoo is the kind of stuff I remember from the old game. This with Hurricane Punch is really shaping up to be the monk expansion all us kung fu fighting freaks have been waiting for. Can't wait to try this stuff out

Don't forget that new Province. Ready a Monk when they attack, even if that Monk gets coverted out, they can still show up and Hurricane Punch. Also, Volcanic Troll has amazing synergy with Mantra of Fire in a Monk deck. It makes the opponent WANT to attack you using the Fire Ring, especially if they are First Player.

Yeah I like that FFG is making an effort to bring back some of the themes that were well liked in the old game. IMO they have done an amazing job of giving the game the feel of the old game while still being it's own thing. This approach to monks feels very familiar and at the same time fresh and new. Really looking forward to see how they continue to add the various sub-themes for the clans and the new factions.

Considering the Zokujin were dragon allied in old5r (or at least they were by the time I started playing is celestial, so it may have been different earlier on), and we got a troll instead, it's possible that they're replacing the Zokujin entirely with something else.

At this point in the story line they are a slave species that work for the Lion clan almost exclusively.

Kitsune, like all spirits, are enigmatic beings...they'll do whatever they do for their own reasons, which may appear to make no sense to mortals.
(Which is a convenient way of saying that, when it comes to the non-humans in general, and spirits in particular, the story can have them do pretty much anything and fit-in anywhere, if it suits the particular dramatic purpose...)

Yes, and I have no particular idea of what they are.
16 might be the Dragon Clan Ancestral thing (their equivalent of Ofushikai, which I'm hoping is part of a sequence).
If my guess for the Scorpion 5-cost is right, 10 could be Yogo Junzo.
