I am pleased with the troopers but the base didnt come out as I planned.

The white base seems to have made the green paint come thru more. Or made it lighter then it looked.

IMO, a base (that you then put grass on) should be brown(earthy) colour rather than painted green then green grass on it.

I guess it depends on your terrain too though.

Ya I think next squad is gona get a green mixed with brown. And maybe a few coats before the grass is put on it.

White bases are a pain.

You really cannot go wrong with Vallejo's brown earth basing goo. It takes wash / paint like a champ... it's good stuff.
