Hide and Seek

By Daronil, in Star Wars: Force and Destiny RPG

So someone can use "Seek" to try to track down a person, or notice the presence of someone they're looking for. If that person is trying to prevent being tracked, what would they use? I was thinking Misdirect, but that seemed more like creating illusions or hiding from physical view. Protect seems more oriented towards actual energy-based or Force-based attacks.

I'm presuming that Obi-Wan used something like it to hide out for all those years on Tatooine, and even when only a few metres from Vader, all Vader could come up with was "I sense something. A presence I've not felt since..."

Any ideas are welcome!

Some super plot armour version of the Sentinel: Shadows Shroud skill? -

Spend 1 Destiny point to make yourself undetectable by Force powers and have your Force powers go undetected for the encounter.

Shroud is great, but I would also use Calming Aura and Suppress. Arguably if a Force user is using Seek to search for you then you are being targeted by a Force Power. If you reduce the number of Force Pips rolled enough then the opponent needs to be right on top of you to find you.

RAW:

misdirect

the target cannot see or sense the hidden person or object

seek

may spend 2 pips to know the general location or direction of a object/person that they know about

may make a average vigilance/discipline v discipline check and spend 1 pip to break an illusion

since this scenario is force power v force power i would say that the seeker needs to make the discipline v discipline to see and sense the hiding person then could use the other half of the power to locate them

I started adding difficulty to Force power checks for this instances- Seeking a target you know too little about, Sensing/Influencing high willed people (opposed usually).
