VEERS!!!!
It's nice that they gave us a preview, but I don't see a release date?

I was just going to say that. So much excitement, then it died.
Also, the first article said first quarter. This one says second.

To be fair it’s April so it’s already Q2

I was hoping for a hard release date.
Tabletop Admiral updated.
Don't forget to check "show unreleased" if you want to see it
Edited by werdnaegniImperial Discipline seems like it could come in handy, especially without Vader on the table. Drop a bunch of suppression, or, perhaps more importantly, ready an upgrade on a key turn. That could make Weiss that little bit better.

I think it will probably be more practical with HH-12s or the snowtroopers' ion gun, though.
To be honest, what I'm really curious about is the facedown tech card that was in the announcement spread. I hope it's something commander focused instead of something the rank and file will want.
Edited by SquarkIs it just me or does esteemed leader read like it does the opposite of what they describe it as in the article? Seems to me like he can take wounds for the defending unit but they described it that the other unit takes wounds for him

He gives the troopers around him the Guardian ability, then the card describes what the Guardian ability does.
Ahh I got it. Makes sense now
FFG almost never puts out release dates until the product is ready to ship to stores. The announcement of Legion's initial release was a rare exception.
Didn't we already get a preview of Veers?

This has (more) detail .
trchnically you got an ANNOUNCEMENT of Veers before.
this is the actual article.
He looks good..... Bye Vader you slow butttt.
Veers looks 100% great, going to be hard pressed to keep Vader after he drops. Especially if we get a Han equivalent mid range character and now I can take 2 commanders for the price of Vader (or less!)
Not sure if it’s accurate worldwide, but my local game store has told us that Leia, Veers, Fleet Troops and Snowtroopers will be available for us to collect around the 16-17th of April.
Edited by intoxicatedALFAmazon has it releasing May 3.

Guardian keyword can also save other units at range 1, so veers and some corps running alongside an AT-ST can eat some hits for the vehicle before the impact keyword takes effect

I dunno - Vader seems more suited to the Snowtroopers that release with Veers - they move at the same speed and being slow will likely take more fire, thus make greater use of DV's BOIC (Bubble of Infinite Courage).

That would be cool but Guardian can only take damage for friendly trooper units.

doesn't say so on the card. Is that the ruling on the rrg?
edit: ok yes u r right tge rrg does. Sigh why do they put half the rules in the card and in the rrg(not even wave 2 yet
)
Man, Veers makes Trooper spam scary as heck.

Almost like he was ... a General.
