Is anyone else getting really excited about the idea of running Luke and Leia together? For 90pts Leia seems really competitive against a rebel trooper squad + heavy weapon in cost. Given that she can give luke dodges, and luke's 2-pip command card can give both of them dodge, I think there's a lot of potential here. It also seems like Luke+Leia at 250pts compares really favorably against a kitted out Vader at 225 points.

I just can't decide if I would be better off sending luke off on his own to cut up some stormtroopers, or if Leia and Luke should charge the lines together along with a scattergun trooper squad...

Yes as long as you follow the command hand building rules.

The only command card required in every deck is Standing Orders. So you can take each of their 3 command cards. Or you can mix and match with the neutral cards as long as you only bring 2 of each pip.

If I can get to Leia without fielding Whiney ESB Luke all together, I’ll be satisfied.

It’s definitely an interesting combination, and it’ll open up a lot of options. Having a back-up commander seems pretty nice...if Luke goes down, your troopers don’t immediately panic.

It definitely allows Luke to go ham on the frontlines. Less of a penalty if he dies or goes out of R1-3 range, Leia may only have Courage2 but so far ive never seen 4+ suppression tokens on a single unit anyway, atleast 1 ends up going away before they activate. If we get some Supression weapons that are spammable i could see it being a problem but unlikely.
