Bobba Fett

Were not going to get another imperial general or that sort of thing because Veers, but maybe later. We may get Boba Fett or Palpatine with crimson guard as special ops.

Honestly because we got Han Solo announced just after launch and they have taken a little time to make any kind of announcement of a 3rd Imperial Commander hopefully means that FFG is really thinking about who to bring and want to get it right while making their fans happy.

Honestly anything or anyone from the Star Wars Universe is a welcome addition. They brought in many new female heroes into Imperial Assault, maybe it is time for a female villain.

Juno Eclipse from Force Unleashed before her change of heart. Iden Verso who is now canon in Battlefront 2.

I think Palpatine would be cool. Not Boba fett. I do hope the Solo movie brings in some better commanders to be used. Right now Director Kennik does seem like the logical best choice, and maybe General Tagge.

I think they already have all these figures made or printed already and are struggling to get all the logistics and storage distribution figured out still. This was a big job for them and trying to get all the information as well as product out this fast is swamping all of FFG. They aren't as big as most other companies. This is kind of like Kenner was with the first batch of figures. OVERWHELMED>

They're waiting because they have now 4 releases already announced I think. After Leia I would guess we'll see the next commander announced.

FFG has a lot of routes to take. Thrawn, Krennic, Wulf Yularen, General Tagge I think are all reasonable choices if they stick to stuff we've seen in shows/movies. I think Palp is a little ways out, just because we already have a melee/close range force user commander.

If they go with their own Canon property, Kayn Somos or Cpt Terro would be awesome.

I'm going to guess Krennic and Death Troopers since they appeared to be fairly special forces like in Rogue One. Second is Yularen with ISB agents.

I'm expecting a Snowtrooper preview maybe this week or next (since they and Veers should probably be out before the end of the month) and then probably around when they actually drop we should expect FFG to unveil what the next set of Imperial expansions is.

Strangely this is also the same Thrawn written by Zhan in the newer books, the first of which was good albeit the ending wasn't as much to my liking as the rest of the book. I also look forward to the new book due next month iirc. I thought he was an effective villain in Rebels and also appeared to be following his own agenda.

Or perhaps after the first 2 commanders giving a base line they will go the asynchronous route for a while and have another squad boosting Imperial officer.....

Or they might just go down the ISB route...Agent Kallus anyone?

Well if that is the case. Since Leia and Veers ran the fleets during the battle of Hoth, then we should get Han Solo and the Commander who's big line was "Rebel Scum".

Bobba is not Imperial. Good mirror would be Agent Kallus or Agent Blaise and ISB Operatives.

As noted, we have lots to choose from. My list is exclusively from canon:

Director Krennic

Admiral Rae Sloane (my first choice actually)

Ciena Ree

Agent Gideon Hask (but pre traitor versio works)

Agent Kallus (no hawt Kallus )

Governor Adelhard

truth though, Hask, Versio, Kallus, and Ciena might make better special forces, due to their nature.

Sloane, Krennic and Adelhard in that order is my choice, though

Krennic logically should be first as he will be the most recognizable - plus the cape!

Sloane is a huge character in the new canon, and a female imperial in the classic officer uniform will stand out.

Adelhard is interesting because, while many may not like the game he is from, it did make for an interesting story, and would be appropriate as he controlled and locked down the Anoat sector after Palpatine died. Plus purge troopers/Dark troopers.

Kallus is the only choice here, really...Thrawn and Tarkin are much more above the tactical level, it seems. Kallus however, has a shown history of being involved in multiple tactical level engagements.

That didn't stop FFG from adding him to the Imperials in X-Wing or Armada

To be fair, there wasn't a scum faction at the time, and how do you leave Boba Fett or the Firespray out of that game?

I think, if they have plans to expand past two factions, they keep the Fett under wraps until there is an appropriate faction.
