I was just thinking. The choices for the commanders we have seen seem very familiar. Luke and Vader are a given. And Leia and Han make a lot of sense. And veers is pretty famous. But odd for wave 1. But then it clicked. Where have I seen all these characters before? Destiny (awakenings) that’s literally almost all of the original trilogy characters that were in destiny’s first wave.
So by that logic there is only one possible answer.

Thrawn looks pretty good in field gear, as does govenor Pryce. Maybe it would be too much to have that many 'Veers-style' helmets running around, but it just looks so good!
I like the idea of Thrawn a lot! From the most recent book, if I remember, he can use E-11, too.

Krennic with Death Trooper unit is virtually guaranteed to show up eventually for Legion. Thrawn as well. It probably depends on which direction FFG wants to move the game first - Rebels or Rogue One.
Whats about Captain/Admiral Piett or Tarkin?
Krennic with Death Trooper specforce unit seems plausible. Kallus could be a good one, too, but I'm not sure what new unit he could be related to, if that's even a requirement. Maybe ISB Infiltrators or scouts?

I mean, Thrawn wasn’t exactly a “boots on the ground” kind of guy. Has anyone mentioned Tarkin?
It would be cool to see someone expand the cannon of ground warfare for the disneyverse to give us a little more substance to play around with.
I'm thinking Tarkin. Kind of hoping Tarkin. Generic Imperial Office might be cool also.

Why couldn't they just release a " Booster Pack " of cards to go along with the General Veers miniature allowing us to paint the figure to create a look that goes along with the card. A few named Admirals, Generals, or Moffs to utilize the same figure but make each one unique.
Or just rename the packaging and make it a Generic Imperial Officer miniature with say 4 cards so you could utilize a different strategy and you could purchase additional miniatures to run multiple Commanders and just paint the miniature or the base differently.
Honestly from experience with Imperial Assault just giving "General Sorin" that blue Thrawn skin tone totally creates a new miniature.

While I do speak about getting a generic commander, I don't think it will happen. One thing from Warmachine/hordes is a influential commander can really drive your army creation.

Okay. Didn't realize how hard putting a spot of blue or red or black on a miniatures base was going to be.

But, FFG is in the business of selling expansions. I'm sure if we ever get a Thrawn Mini, it will be a new mini. Thrawn style.
