So after flying only large base ships for the past few months, I decided to come up with a 3 small base list for scum that could be good competitively. I came up with this:
Scurrg H-6 Bomber: •Captain Nym (45)
Guidance Chips (0)
•Havoc (0)
Veteran Instincts (1)
Twin Laser Turret (6)
Harpoon Missiles (4)
•Bomblet Generator (3)
Trajectory Simulator (1)
•"Genius" (0)
Starviper: •Thweek (30)
Autothrusters (2)
Starviper Mk.II (-3)
•Virago (1)
Fire-Control System (2)
HWK-290: Spice Runner (24)
Twin Laser Turret (6)
•Cad Bane (2)
Total: 99/100
I really like this list on paper and tried it a few times, i mostly lost but I like to think it was mostly due to poor decisions and luck, thweek being the element here that isnt going that well, I think it might also be due to my lack of experience with him and would like to know if there is any tips that could be offered.
I've been really liking Trajectory Sim and Cad Bane, if I set up my engagement right, in the first one someone is taking two damage they cant evade.
Despite wanting to get better at using thweek, I've thought about changing the list, switching the viper with Jostero, so maybe something like this:
Scurrg H-6 Bomber: •Captain Nym (47)
Guidance Chips (0)
•Havoc (0)
Veteran Instincts (1)
Twin Laser Turret (6)
Extra Munitions (2)
Harpoon Missiles (4)
•Bomblet Generator (3)
Trajectory Simulator (1)
•"Genius" (0)
Kihraxz Fighter: •Captain Jostero (29)
Munitions Failsafe (0)
Guidance Chips (0)
Hull Upgrade (2)
Vaksai (0)
Deadeye (0)
Harpoon Missiles (3)
Contraband Cybernetics (0)
HWK-290: Spice Runner (24)
Twin Laser Turret (6)
•Cad Bane (2)
Total: 100/100
Like this, Nym has 2 harpoons and an extra bomblet, and I have the added firepower of a second harpoon which can be shot even before the combat phase, but i lose and end game ship. Any opinions?
