So if Palpatine is still alive, can you use his ability in a final salvo?

You my friend are looking for my proposed upgrade:

"Single Reactor Ignition", 1pt, Imperial Only, Modification, large ship only, may only be equipped if Krennic or Tarkin is in your squad.

"In final salvo, you may roll 1000 extra red dice."

Final salvo doesn't occur during 'a round' (it happens after the end of the last round), so no - palpatine only works during a round.

So if you can use him you can use anything else that can modify dice, Expertise to change focus, Poes ability, marksmanship. I really dont think so. This is an after game event, based on the number of attack dice.

Most dice mods only work when attacking or defending which this isn't.

But the argument that it's not during a round is legit.
