Pacifism and conflict type switching

By Ishi Tonu, in L5R LCG: Rules Discussion

Does anyone know if Pacifism is bugged on Jigoku?

I’ve had a couple games now where I had an opposing character, with Pacifism attached, and changed the conflict type with Rally to the Cause or Captive Audience and nothing happened.

Does the character not get sent home if they have Pacifism attached when a conflict gets changed to military?

I dunno how Jigoku works, but they should be sent home bowed. It's not just a restriction on declaring attacks, it's can't participate at all.

That's what I thought but it doesn't work that way in Jigoku

Send a ticket to the devs, they normally fix this things relatively fast.

In the meantime, just switch to manual mode and put that character home bowed.

The same should also happen to a defending Shiba Peacemaker (cannot participate as an attacker) hit by Blackmail.

I wasn't comfortable just doing that given my track record with the rules.

:D

On a positive note, it appears my Unicorn/Phoenix deck is a little better than expected. If Pacifism had worked the way it was supposed to, I would have won at least two more games out of the last 5 I played. Then I would have a 4-1 record with the deck instead of 2-3.

Drop the “Unicorn” bit, and I’m sure it’ll work even better. :P

Deckbuilding 101 right there.

It's just casual games so nothing to get too excited about anyways. Certainly not a deck I'd play in a serious tournament but it's good enough to win it's fair share of games.

I'm just glad to know I'm not completely losing it. I mean I know I'm a couple fries short of a combo meal......it's good to know I'm not missing the whole basket.
