Inked Gaming Mats

By RunJerZeeNets, in Star Wars: Armada

I bought a couple of dice bags from Inked Gaming to carry my Armada dice and the cardboard obstacles. Surfing the site, I found they also make wargaming mats, 36" x 36", but have a 1.5% deviation allowance during manufacturing which works out to about 1/2", or 1/4" off center on each edge. I know they are not tournament legal, but they look great and would make casual play look quite nice. Has anyone used one? They are about $45 each, about $12 more than FFG mats from CoolStuff and Miniature Market. The cost differential and tournament legality drive to the FFG mats, but some of the Inked Gaming art is so beautiful.

Looking for experience and opinions...

Thank you.

And just to add some more complexity, the ProMatz 3x6 for $100 has some amazing art as well. They declare a potential manufacturing deviation of up to 1" though...

I've not had an Armada size mat made, but the print quality of color on their other mats I've gotten (especially black) is miles better than FFG's when you provide a proper high res image.

I wish i had the money to get a 6x4 mat lol
