Optics Ahoy!

because Fenn can't hotshot all of us!

honestly never tried the silencer generics, but at 6 health and thrusters Silencers are about the only things I'd trust to halfway tank a VCX for maybe...two rounds? optimistically?

@Biophysical

@GreenDragoon

This list is really a good time and has been picking up a bit of traction. Enough HP to muscle through all that TLT. Its kinda awesome and I hope more people pick it up!

This is a great list. I 100-0ed two Ghost-Fenn lists with it at Adepticon, but I wasn't confident in my opponents' strategies.

You can reasonably expect the Silencer to take 2 damage from a full salvo of Maul/Ezra TLT fire, but you can get slightly lucky and take one or zero by preventing an early hit and shutting down multiple Maul usages. You can also get in that blind spot pretty well. Getting behind a rock also massively increases survivability.

wait, this is actually a thing?

I threw this together in yet another squadron builder after the Dark Days article because I thought it'd be funny to see how many effective Advanced Optics I could fit in a list

****, I got here after trying to put in crackshot optics Zeta L in and then realizing that I'd rather have two silencers instead of Zeta L and Blackout

Yup!

Search the archetype Silent Night, Deadly Night on metawing.

great minds, I guess
but now that I'd just be netlisting something beat for beat, I don't want to run it anymore :(

back to ARCs, I guess

You can always swap out QD for a Juke x7 Vessery too for more defensive goodness

It top 16ed a big tournament in Britain, I think.

I was calling it "Pictionary" in my head.

I do like Vess with FCS support, but given all the turret spam it's hard not to reach for QD's high PS + damage output to either keep the fire on stupidly dodgey turrets or to at least make the game mercifully shorter one way or the other

but I guess, if you're a real man, you could always run...THREE SILENCERS!

Trust me, I've thlight really hard about that third Silencer, but Quickdraw is really good.

well, since this venture turned out to be a disappointing reverse netlist, let's jank it up to 11!

Kylo Ren — Upsilon-class Shuttle 34
Expert Handling 2
Collision Detector 0
Emperor Palpatine 8
Advanced Optics 2
Pattern Analyzer 2
[Ship Total: 48]
Sienar-Jaemus Analyst — TIE Silencer 26
Fire-Control System 2
Advanced Optics 2
Autothrusters 2
[Ship Total: 32]
Omega Squadron Pilot — TIE/fo Fighter 17
Crack Shot 1
Advanced Optics 2
[Ship Total: 20]

[100]

could also use Epsilon Ace

Edited by ficklegreendice

Its not really a net list. Requires a ton of skill and is just all around fun. Can't think of anything more wholesome balanced if thats a thing.

Edited by Boom Owl

if it's online and then copied, it's a netlist

doesn't mean it's a bad netlist, that connotation comes from people jumping on flavor-of-the-month bandwagons

I really like the idea behind the list, particularly in the promise of arced ships that might actually stand against the plague of turrets that have so invested the game since wave 5

but eh, it's been done verbatim already so I personally wouldn't enjoy flying it. that's just me

I'm not convinced Quickdraw is actually the best option. You could explore some other options in there.

I believe Quickdraw, for this specific meta, is indeed the optimal choice

A lot of that evaluation is weighted upon her simply being PS 11, but the extra offense helps when my x7s love to roll blanks anyway

X7 Vess or ryad would be my second choice

One could always run a thrusters ace, but **** if I'm touching any 3-blank-dice ship less sturdy than a silencer

Personal reasons

It's almost glaring in its obvious efficiency. It's like BBBBZ being called a netlist. I think the only reason it hasn't gained more traction is because people haven't considered buying a second silencer.

I'm sure plenty of people have considered buying a second silencer

but if you're a loon like me and you've flown more than 1 ARC regularly, you know how impossible it is to fly two wingspans within range 1 of each other due to model complications

the Silencer, with its forward-facing wingspan, is far FAR worse

I guess if you want to be a special snowflake, one could replace the 32 point Silencers with 32 points SF

pity the game will never get to the point where we won't need autothrusters. The Omegas' greater offense (crackshot) would've been fun if torp scouts were still around (god rest their evil souls) or if gunboat poon spam ever became relevant again

You've got points to put a hull upgrade on an x7, even.

not quite

2 points left, which I think is just First Order Vanguard. You could TIEmk2 Vess, but I think you'd just want more mods

Maul can't be used multiple times with TLT. If someone was doing that they were wrong. Maul's stress removal is "after attacking" which means it doesn't trigger until both TLT shots have resolved. So if they Maul on the first one and it hits, they do NOT get to remove that stress until after resolving the second shot.

Reference is to the Ghost rolling dice 4X with 2 TLT Shots.
