Can the Deft Maker and Gearhead Talents stack for making a droid?

Yes, they will both remove Setbacks as they are both Mechanics checks and droid construction.

However, crafting a droid is not modding attachments, so the one off halving of cost does not stack.

Just wanted make sure they stacked. Since that makes the Droid Tech even better.

At least in theory, depends I guess on your table how many setbacks are tossed around during construction.
