Hi guys can some one please clarify the pipe wrench for me what spend a result mean ?

"Spend a result" is when you use a die roll of, let's say a torso, to inflict a hit on a monster. Now I don't have the Pipe Wrench card in front of me but I would surmise that it gives a bonus effect with a specific result.

We had our first game, and this came up... it seems a little confusing. The way we read is, that if you spend a head result in combat to get a hit, and you're using the wrench (which give you an S reroll assuming you have that special skill), then you have to discard the wrench? So it's breaks on someone's tough noggin?
