In reality, it looks like fun. @GiledPallaeon and I did a demo on Sunday (where we TOTALLY forgot Suppression until like turn 3!) And it's fun and I look forward to playing it. But I'm bringing stuff because Rule of Cool more than anything. I dunno how good the snowspeeder is, but counter point: pew pew pew.

It's a side game, but it looks like a very fun side game that I don't have to stress about unlike every other time I play a second competitive game, and THAT'S what I want.

These are basically my thoughts on it too. I don't like it as much as Armada, but its still a very good game.

Eh, I think "rule of cool" and casual play are going to be where this game lives.

FFG alone has multiple titles that make for tighter, more competitively viable, less random swingy gameplay.

Legion is good for kicking back some blue milk, listening to Duel of the Fates, and drunkenly asserting that the game is over because you have the high ground.

Armada is still the primary, sold off my Xwing for Legion. Blood Legionnaires, reporting.

The importance of the Imperial Army can not be over stated.

The Army has to contend with taking and securing tactical and strategic ground interests and resources on planets deemed vital to The Empire.

By comparison, all the Imperial Navy has to do is maintain complete superiority and utter dominance of all the known Galaxy.

That’s as easy as slipping an adult Hutt into a Jawa’s girdle.

Well, I played my first game of Legion today. It is a fun game, however I would second the though about higher amount of randomness and also note that I think that the game would be a bit of a mess in a competitive setting because of all the terrain/cover/line of sight measurements/implied imprecision and a messy movement over existing terrain. So it's likely to end up being a fun and casual one for me.

Started with xwing during initial release, moved into armada and now am fully transitioning to legion... I like xwing and armada alot but I've always loved painting and assembling minis. I'll still play game night kits at the local store with my group (who almost all play all 3 games as well) but I see alot more of legion in my future.. and painting.. lots of painting ha

Still trying to get my squads all painted. I hope to play my first game tomorrow night.

X-wing is still my number one... but legion is fun! Lots of fun.

Really dig the random activations (except when you take a spam force and can get around that). Much less chin rubbing and hemming and hawing. Defining terrain clearly is a must before playing though, like very specifically. Super fun game.

Yes, I am aiming to use the Legion rules in more of a role-playing/campaign way. Gaining experience and skills, a bit like in Legends of the Old West ... so, Legends of the Outer Rim!

Painting only at the moment. I can not afford to buy anything, but I was gifted a core, ATST and T47, so I’ll at least paint them.

With no legal army and no way to go forward on that at the moment, that’s all I’ll do... I mean, I haven’t even read the Rules, and that’s usually the first-through-seventh things I do with a new game.

Wait....you mean to tell me I've read and know the rules better than Dras??? ?? The world is ending!! (I've read the learn to play twice and the rules reference at least six times...)
