Looking forward a year or two, what I would like in this game

Yea, I still want them though! Cute little buggers, potential fun with terrain. Win-win!

I'm rather sure that they'd be after more normal forces, but there would probably, eventually be the cannibalistic teddy bears...

Perhaps it could be put up against an Imperial Gorax and gorewulf...

Overall I’d like to see some options for customization included in future releases. Just having interchangeable heads would make a world of difference. If I could get a couple different arm variations for squad leaders I would be a very happy boy.

New units I’d like to see for my main faction the Rebels;

- Saw and his Partisans. I think being armed with flechette guns and incendiary grenades would convey their more violent nature.

- Rebel Assult Troopers. The only group of Alliance fighters that have significant personal armor. Would be a great option for special forces.

- Alliance Pathfinders as seen in the Battle of Scariff. Not sure if these would work better as Corps or Special Forces

- Echo Base Troopers. More or less just a thematic variant of the Rebel Troopers.

- U-Wings. I love gunships/ troop transports

Pathfinders are already announced, together with the Han Solo announcement I think

Give us an expansion that is C3PO and Ewoks. Have C3PO as a commander that passively buffs all ewoks in his command range. ;)

I'd rather see a combo of Artoo and Threepio, with both them as a support unit and individual characters.

If buildings get more use with the internals available along with doors, well, one of the things that Artoo was great for with the WotC game was battlefield control by sealing or forcing open doors and locking them that way. Adding that in would be interesting to play with. Adding in repair abilities for vehicles would work as well, perhaps removing damage effects rather than restoring actual damage there.

Perhaps using Threepio's translation abilities to give you an option during a round to pull two command tokens rather than one and pick which one you want. Possibly also granting commanders within a short an increase in command range

Yeah, I think some dedicated support units would be cool, such a Threepio and R2D2. Have them do one white dice of melee damage haha

I like the following ideas (some previously mentioned):

> What about Inquisitors for the imps? Get another force user in there? (Maybe just one force power, but have them be Commando units).

> Dark Troopers, Jet pack troopers

> Troop transport vehicles of some sort

> What about engineers that have really bad attack, but can construct barricades? Take wounds off of a vehicle? Etc.?

> Kyle Katarn!!! (Ofc probably not, the only reason he is in X-Wing was he was released pre-Disney)

> Rosh Penin (he randomly switches sides and can deal 15 suppression tokens to all units at range 1 by being really annoying!) (jk...)

> Mortar units - they work the same as the AT ST mortar, but cannot move and shoot in the same turn.

I think it would be cool if they add a few select neutral Scum characters, that either Imperials or Rebels could take:

> Boba Fett

> IG-88, Bossk, etc.

Have them count as a commander, but they cannot issue orders, and you must have one other normal commander in your squad.

I think someone mentioned somewhere "AI" creatures of some sort - Rancor, Nexu, etc.

I think the key to power creep in a game like this would be limited core units. 3 to pick from max. All around the same points value. In an objective game it’s the cheapest way to get models on the table. THAT will always be relevant no matter other expansions.

the designers have got 3 unit types left to go ham with, and as long as each unit is bringing a unique approach/tactic to the board and is more expensive than troops, we shouldn’t see too much creep.

I do want a spec ops unit that is the Ghost crew. Every mini soes one thing, take them all together or in pairs. Idk mechanics, but it'd be fun.

As long as I get an ATAT.....

how? the AT-ST is massive enough, not sure how you'd even fit one on the board scale wise without it being more of a hindrance than an effective tool

also, painting it would be a nightmare for anyone without an airbrush

Given how character driven the game is I am very curious to how Chewie, R2D2, etc will fit in into the game or will see modifications to the force org (for example Han can take Chewie but doesn't eat up a force org slot).

Would this help?

AT-AT is easy to paint - black primer, gray paint (I used a darker and then lighter shade), followed by Nuln Oil (I diluted mine with water a bit), finish up with highlights on guns.
