*shrug* I've no interest in legion. I've had my fill of army games, and I don't think it will replace Armada. I'm willing to give it another few weeks of no news before I start to get uppity about lack of Armada news.

Legion will not replace Armada as my go-to competitive game. There's just so much more that Legion has that is better when played casual with custom terrain.

Not really. what we really need is more support for community from ffg. Alternative formats like take the station, mission control like x-wing, peripherals, other instances that are creative and point the community in directions to get them exploring too. Many players are also casuals and setup their own scenarios/terrain/imagination/whathaveyou, but official ones from ffg both help to standardise and give that sense of formality(officiality?) for players. Essentially new ways to play. What we don't really need is to continue to push the power creep imo(that is, faster new product increases probability of creep as game bloats)

Along that line I think a new campaign in a more compact and refined rules format, plus a new bout of scenarios and even new rules regarding using scenarios in standard play, is in order. Plus all the peripherals ffg would not sell separately(new squad tokens & cards/space station model?)

pS: imo an epic format would actually value add to the game since it does explore something new. yes pls to ssd

I do feel like we're getting to that tipping point of Pi**y armada players. It's going on 2 months with no news, that's pretty rough to keep an interest in a general community. I will never understand how the company spaces its news so poorly but I'm sure it's just so the news doesn't take away from their new, extra chromosome baby.
