Rebel 800 points

By Lord Thallium, in Army Building

SO I'm going to play this army tonight and see what happens. It pretty much is everything I currently own.

Luke Skywalker 160
Force Reflexes, Saber Throw,
Rebel Troopers 40
MPL-57 Ion Trooper, Rebel Trooper, Targeting Scopes,
Rebel Troopers 40
Z-6 Trooper, Rebel Trooper, Targeting Scopes,
Rebel Troopers 40
Z-6 Trooper, Rebel Trooper, Targeting Scopes,
T-47 Airspeeder 175
Wedge Antilles, MoDk Power Harpoon, Long-Range Comlink,
AT-RT 55
AT-RT Laser Cannon,
AT-RT 55
AT-RT Flame Thrower

Let me know what you think

Thanks

I’d drop Saber Throw on Luke due to him having a gun and pick up a different power.

Force Reflexes is a must for Luke. If you plan on contesting/containing Vader, don't bother with Jedi mind trick, either. Vader will always be within range of the things that you are in range of Jedi mind tricking and it will be wasted. If you want to use Luke as a flanker, then JMT is a good way to pour on Suppression, but that means letting Vader run about unchallenged.

Its true that Vader is immune to suppression and with Vader around you can't use Jedi Mind Trick to get stormtroopers to panic, but stormtroopers can still be suppressed and made to lose an action. If you have Force Reflexes you'll need to take a refresh action occasionally anyway, and it only costs 5 points. I wouldn't write if off completely. Even if your plan is to use Luke to go toe-to-toe with Vader, you can still use it against any stormtroopers at range 1-2.

Agreeing with the dropping of Saber throw, Vader needs it more because of his lack of ranged options, but Luke has his pistol, which doesn't have Impact and has 1 fewer die, but retains Pierce and gets Red dice. Plus, it doesn't require a Refresh to use a second time. I think you have 3 units that are going to want to flank, so you could take Battle Meditation and then either keep the Long-range comms on the T-47 so you can activate 2 Units that are outside of Luke's command radius, or drop the Long range comms since you will have the same functionality, but with added flexibility of being apply to other units, not just the T-47. The spare 10 points could be used for grenades of your choice on the Troopers.
