Storage Solution & Dice Binders

By BigKahuna, in Star Wars: Destiny

Ok I assume this conversation has been brought up before but I'm curious what people who bought the Dice Binders as a storage solution think about the setup. I found it a bit strange that you have room for 40 dice, but only 44 cards. I mean, ok a typical deck build has 10-14 dice in it, and exactly 30 cards. So basically you can have 1 deck of cards in it, but multiple decks of dice?

Seems like a poorly thought out solution, I mean you have 40 dice, which is roughly 3-4 decks worth of dice, there should be room for 120 cards (aka 4 decks of cards).

I was about to buy one but now I'm thinking the solution is kind of crappy.

I initially disliked the binders, but seeing them in person helped a bit(magnetic cover is nice) and now I'm indifferent to them. However, they are not for decks imo, they're built to hold the cards for your collection of cool legends and stuff.

If you are looking for deck storage, check out feldherr on Amazon. They're what I use and I'm pretty happy with them.

I love the Dice Binders I have 9 so far but only for dice, I keep my cards in the Ultra-Pro card pages within a CaseIt zip binder. I have a plastic trading card box I use for the deck and dice I take to my FLGS.

i would require far too many dice binders to keep all my dice organized...

ziplock bags for me!

The dice binders seriously need token storage space, could take out some of the dice storage to allow for it and if they did I'd probably buy at least one.

Tokens? I just use a tiny 3"w by 6"L fishing tackle tray for my tokens. Cost me like 2 bucks at walmart or something like that. Low profile, solid, light, and stores all my tokens easily.

Sure, but now you are carrying both the binder and a tackle tray. 2 Things. I'd just as soon use my single Feldherr case that holds everything in that situation.

For my dice I'm using Starfrit Lock&Lock Krystal 29oz. I need 3 per set. They're stackable (sort of) and for now it's the best solution I've found.

Throwing out one more option. I just got the Zen Bins storage for Destiny. I really like this as the best option. For cards, I use a binder and pages that makes deckbuilding easy, and for the dice, i use the zen bins. Also the base/lid/blinder pack is really nice for playing the game. The base acts as I single tray to take to a game: all your tokens on one side, dice needed for that game in the middle, and room for 35 cards on the other side (even use this as my draw pile when playing). Blinder is nice for tournament, where if you want to hide what dice your bringing. I got two base/lid/blinder sets, and two 3-packs of all dice trays for less than two FFG binders. That's enough storage for all your tokens, two prepped decks, and 288 dice!
