3rd imperial commander/ special forces?

By fiddybucks, in Star Wars: Legion

I'm hoping for a two pack Kallus/hawt Kallus.

Krennic and Death Troopers

I think this is the obvious one.

Colonel Wulf Yurlen would be cool.

Yeah! Maybe along with a ISB specialist unit

I really hope boba fett isn't a commander. Would kill the theme/immersion for me.

By all means have some mercenary units but the empire would not hand over control of their armies to a merc.

This sounds like a good choice. Make Boba a mercenary special forces model, give him a double sided title card; one that lets him work for the empire, the other as a free lancer or something.

He could be a 'commander' that can't be your primary commander and won't get to issue commands/won't allow nearby troops to use his courage value. Essentially an independent character that takes one of your commander slots.

What would be the point in a commander that can't command? He is much better suited to the special forces slot.

Mounted dewback commander would be cool.

Krennic and his Death troopers as other has mentioned would be cool.

Regional governors with different flavors ... Im thinking Mad Max kind of personalities. "The govenor of bullettown" = more shooty . "Govenor of speed", better fast units etc.

So would a dewback count as a trooper or a vehicle, or do you think that FFG will take advantage of their living rulebook to create a cavalry type. It could include Tauntaun riders too.

I think they borrow quite a bit from the video games as well as their own lore. So I'm expecting Sniper Scouts and Agent Blaise.

I can't wait for Captain Terro and his Dewback patrol though as well as the Riot tank as seen in Rogue One with the Flametroopers.

Yeah they could update the living rulebook or just throw a page in the box how cavalry works. But hopefully creatures move more like troops than vehicles.

It would prob be support, much like the atrt.

If the facebook leak about Rebel Speederbikes turns out to be accurate, then we may have to wait awhile for the next set of support units.

If they include Dewbacks and Tauntauns, both factions will need the type of infantry to support it.

So Echo Base Troopers for the Rebels and Sandtroopers for the Imperials.

Facebook leak? Do tell...

Someone mentioned on an earlier thread about seeing "Luke and Leia" on speeder bikes.

Since it doesn't make much sense for a commander to be a vehicle, people have assumed they meant a male and female rebel on speeder bikes.

I know little about the leak but I think that rebel speeder bikes are a given. However, I think they will be a unique unit so as not to detract from the Empire flavor too much.

Found the thread...

I would like to see a special unit of sandtroopers in the same line as the rebel commandos, similar in design but with the shoulder pads and backpacks look, with some different special weapons. As for commander I'm not sure who will fit in there.

Would an Imperial probe droid fall under the auspice of special forces? I don't think they are fitting for vehicles.

Support and Heavy doesnt mean to be vehicles

Scout Troopers plus Patrick Bateman is my guess.

I forgot about the support category, of which a probe droid would fit I suppose.

Crazy theory:

They have hinted that there will be an aggressive release schedule and that every third release will be “neutral”. What if the third release after the assumed Imperial special forces wave is a “neutral” special forces Boba Fett? Comes with both Imperial and Rebel deployment cards and can be “hired” by either side?

Boba Fett should have a restriction when deploying on the rebels side.

Cannot be fielded if Han Solo is in your list.

And cannot use disintegrations if Darth Vader is in your list

This is my guess. He showed up in Rebels and is present in a couple of games FFG has.
