My name is Rico, and I am brand new to the game. I have been running 100pt 1v1 and 2v2 games,and most of my group got our first core sets and figures this week.

So here is my first list. 100 pts. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the game, friend! You have a nice sort of start to your list here. Your pilots are nice, but I would change some upgrades to get your pilots more effective:

Vader with the ATC makes him actually worth flying, as he can do some damage. And, because it is a critical damage, it can trigger the harpoon from the Nu, who, with OS-1 and Adv. SLAM, can elect to not spend the lock and continue firing harpoons when on its own, or do whatever with the support of stridan, who, like this, can provide focuses and a TL, even after pulling a red move.

The above makes sense if your group allows you to proxy cards. If you're a new player just starting out, the TIE Advanced add-ons being recommended are only available by buying an epic ship that's $90-ish.

Does VI stand for veterans instincts?

It does, yes!

Ok, I have Vader fully decked. Got everything on the Nu squadron pilot except the harpoon missle, should get one of those next week. For Stridan, I have hux and the collision detector, but neither the systems officer nor the pattern analyzer

Unless there's a reason not to proxy, you should just proxy lol
