.. with clear acrylic. Has anyone looked into this? Would it be viable for tournaments?

If anyone has done this can you post some pics? Though it may be a bit early for that.

I'd reckon they would have to be the same hight as the originals to be 100% legal in tournaments. Because LOS is measured from the highest point. On the other hand, some glues leave nasty "frosting" effect on clear acrylic.

I am seeing people do this all over Facebook and it makes me wince...I doubt they would be OP legal even if their width is correct...they are about 3mm shorter than the official base. I asked about it in our meta and most agree they would not allow them.
