honestly I'm a bit amazed this game is still going. I've heard people play it but I've never seen a game of it, nor have I seen anyone buy any models and most shops around here seem to have stopped carrying it. /shrug, though who knows, one of the bigger shops in this area has stopped carrying Armada too.

I would be happy with an ssd the size of the x wing’s raider or cr90.

I have trouble imagining it not being 100 MSRP. it's just such a "common" price point for their big stuff(maybe that's just in my mind, it's been forever since i looked up the raider/corvette in X-wing).

I forgot about the raider.

Yup, it's prolly going to be $99.99. I agree.

An XWMG Raider sized SSD would be both imposing and playable on a game-board.

You wouldn't need to change that many rules either...

How are people feeling about an SSD this wave? Are the odds good finally or is it the same fringe group advocating for it?

I'm feeling good. There should be a betting pool about how large it is going to be.

If I don't see a Venator, I'm cashing out.

Stay tuned for a SICK deal on my armada collection. (probably gonna be like a 10th of retail value.)

Bummer, aside from whatever's coming out, I already have everything I need. We'll miss you.

An SSD twice as big as a Star Destroyer is perfectly acceptable in the "sliding scale" universe of Armada. That puts it, size wise, at about the size of the Tantive in X-Wing, possibly even a bit smaller, and price-wise it should match that: MSRP $85-$100.

I find both of your lacks of faith disturbing. Anything less than 2' and I'll be grumpy.

You wouldn't like me when I'm grumpy.

EDIT:

STOP IT! you're going to make them think that they'll get away with giving us some Mr. Stumpy, rather than the SSD we deserve.

We just started a second campaign at our store (we are two games in now), The first campaign, about a year ago, had 6 players. We are up to 9 now (so we split into two campaigns). And it's northern NH here, so population 12 and a moose.

Cash it in with FFG to receive an article!

It will not be "large", it will be LONG.

As in "My Arquitens is literally underneath my nose and i haven't hit it yet" long.

I hope Runewars does well. It is actually a pretty fun game to play. I just think they got drowned by legion until they finally get legion out there.

And IA.

Unlikely, seeing as we know from World's prize-preview bungle that IA has some upcoming new releases just around the corner. Which means even IA will likely get some previews and articles soon, which is more than we can say confidently about Armada.

And sequel era ships. And more EU ships.

My serious fear isn't that we don't get another wave. Its that they stop supporting skirmish going forward after another wave or two. The campaign is still fun but I really enjoy skirmish much more.

Exactly how I have always pictured it.

You mean MC-30 Shrimps.

I liked your post, but only so I could unlike it.

RSD or SSD??? oooh. RSD and Raddus?

It is rather annoying that Legion has more (announced) releases in its first 2 weeks than Armada has had in its first 2 years.

As with any new miniatures game, it’s a major financial investment for any company and they need to make sure it sells and gets plenty of positive attention. Hence, you get weeks upon weeks of unrelenting promotion to try to ensure it doesn’t fail and result in a net loss.
