Triple Speeder Batrep

By Crabbok, in Star Wars: Legion

There ARE some rules mistakes here - Notably the order of attack. A Summary of attack rules has - Roll Attack Dice, followed by Apply Dodge and Cover, and then Modify Attack Dice. We took that to mean ALL modifications, including surge, were applied AFTER Dodge and Cover, while in truth that should only apply to certain card based effects like Impact. I SHOULD have known better - but since it's still launch weekend I'm chalking this one up to "Hype" on the brain.
Still, it was a great game!

Based on first impressions, would you recommend triple speeder as a promising build? (I know it’s early days, just curious.)

Absolutely. The defensive surge, cover 1, and 3 HP give them some moderate survivability - and they serve so many purposes. Good against vehicles, good at movement for sure... and considering they have 2 ranged weapons, they can split fire, which, if combined with displacement, can potentially give you the ability to hand out 3 suppression in one turn (though not all of it to the same unit).

For that Speeder Bike move around 10:30, was that the compulsory move into displacement?

Yup. They wouldn't be able to displace via a normal move.
