[Video] Breakout Festival @ Canadian Nationals 2018

By Cod, in Legend of the Five Rings: The Card Game

The L5R Breakout Festival Event was the answer to not being assigned a Canadian Kotei this season. We felt that one of the hottest LCGs should be represented at Canadian Nationals - so FFG provided us with some extra prizes to push this event alongside a custom trophy to the winner. This event drew 38 players, with a Dragon and Crane Hatamoto in attendance.

We captured video of the event, complete with commentary as well as trying out some of the new overlay elements that Travis developed for the game. We hope you enjoy it - I'll be updating this thread when new videos are released.

Really enjoyed these, looking forward to more.

Thank you for posting! Do you have deck lists for the final match ups?

When the top cut matchups get posted, the video will include the decklists for each player.

Thanks! With the lack of events in the last couple of months we've been itching to get some more L5R content out there as it's probably the card game I'm most enamored with among all the games we cover on our channel. If the Disciples release event kits arrive on time we will do something on that day as well.

With the Swiss rounds done, we proceed to the top 8 - but first the Challenger Round. The only Clan not to make it to the top 8 was the Unicorn, and Tyler was the highest-placing Unicorn in Swiss. He plays off against 8th seed Jun Yu for a chance to play in the Round of 8.

On to the Top 8. Going forward, these videos will have the decklists for each player on screen for your review. You should be able to find them near the start of each match.
