2 Rounds. 2 hour rounds. Rinse, Repeat next week. Trade excess prizes here, online, to get other excess prizes from people, so there's a variety in the kitty.

2 Rounds is Just enough of a challenge to get local people in, and not so much of a time commitment that anyone breaks down , or you lose more than 4 hours of table time in store.

Come in After Lunch, be home for Dinner!

I really should try to do something of that sort. If only had the time and energy for that.

speaking of kits, looks like, again, there is serious delay. quarter 3 kit apparently had to be ordered already, while q1 kit will not come even remotely close to actual q1.

It feels kind of irrelevant at this point to blame FFG. Poor support hurting community growth is a cycle. The way to break it? Recruit new players, whether it’s that friend who likes Star Wars (almost) as much as you do or that MTG guy who gravitates toward the cool spaceships table. If we can’t recruit enough people to matter to a FLGS... maybe the game is where it should be. We don’t need a lot to play. No frequent releases, no real nerfs. Really the only thing I could see capping this game long term is a stagnant player base.

I get why this is upsetting, but honestly, I feel very much the opposite.

It's a nice promise of long-term support and an up front showcase how you can expect future content. Plus, they show that they have people on the job to bring Star Wars to life on the gaming table.

I'm still on the side of not buying in. I only have so much time for these games anymore, and when I do I feel a lack of energy for them. I kinda feel behind on Armada, and I'm totally behind on X-Wing. I'm also a(n Imperial) part of an Imperial Assault campaign (oddly named, since it's the Rebels who do the heinous acts of terrorism in that game, with the empire mostly just reacting to their atrocities). Where the flip am I supposed to make the time for painting all this stuff, much less playing with it, to make it worth the expense?

(That AT-ST does look really badass though... If I were to buy in, I'd find some Rebel scum to sell me the Imperial half of things.)
