Corner collision, Squaring up with one tray unit

By Straangeer, in Runewars Rules Questions

I have a question for you guys:

When a unit with one tray corner collide with an enemy unit, during squarring up, how you decide which edge of the enemy unit it will square up, i mean the range ruler overlap the only tray of my unit so if i interpret the rules correctly the attacker decide which edge of the enemy unit it will square up because the overlapped unit dont have to be take into consideration in this case, even, it looks a little bit silly.

Whats your opinion?

What is the correct ruling?

You have to have 'full trays' on one side of the ruler or another. If its a tie, you get to decide. So the singled-tray attacker has the nice benefit of ALWAYS getting the choice of turning on their flank if they hit on the corner, since they have 0 trays on either side of the ruler (you don't count the ones it overlaps)

Other questions:

1.

if there is a corner collision and my unit is unable to square up because there are obstacles next to both edges of the enemy unit, can i attack the enemy unit without squaring up?

RAW - we are engaged - and as RRG mentions, you have to be engaged to perform an attack.

2.

if i was unable to square up because of the obstacle, and the next action phase, the enemy unit has the lower initiative so he's unit come first,

Must the enemy unit which i am engaged with, square up if it is able?

i am asking this because if he must, he will be situated in a very shity position.

If I remember correctly, yes, if a unit couldn’t square up and the opponent can upon activation, then activate, square up, perform action.

Also yes, you can attack while engaged but not squared up.

If the physical corners are touching, then yes, you can still perform an attack. Furthermore, the rules reference outlines situations in which you can flank even if not squared up, so you will want to review that at some point (don't have the reference on me).

This business about corners not being engage only covers situations where the units were squared up and 1 or more trays are removed.

If you collide with an enemy unit and cannot square up, when you attack you treat it as attacking the edge you would square up to, if able.

Any time any unit activates and they are touching an enemy unit but are not squared up, they must attempt to square up.
