Hidden mold lines

By Beastsandbrews, in Star Wars: Legion

So im a fairly experienced miniatures painter and modeler. I enjoy all aspects of the hobby from making epic bases to terrain to always trying different and new painting techniques. So ill start of by saying that i think the minis for ffg's second real attempt are pretty awesome, the fact that most models are 2 piece started out being a cool idea. Now the bad... After doing a pretty decent job on scraping mood lines and injection points i wanted to see how it would turn out after priming... And man/woman i must say there are so many hard to get to mod lines its a little bananas and looking at all the time it's going to take is somewhat disheartening.

Thanks and be sure to check out my Instagram :scoutpatrol7 for more pictures and paints.

Same here, the mold lines are as bad as on Imperial Assault minis. In addition the material is a bit difficult to "scratch".

Has anyone tried model glue versus super glue. I usually attempt it on sprue pieces but we don' get them lol :(

I've found them pretty easy to scrape with the Citadel tool and a shaped file in the recessed parts. That said, I'm not super pedantic about cleaning them, for me they're gaming pieces first and display pieces second.

Hmm, maybe I am pedantic about them... ;)

I haven’t actually seen any mold lines on the ones I’ve opened so far...

Nah, you're not pedantic ... just obsessive/compulsive!!! ;)

I thought I had found all of them on my first Rebel squad. And ... a few popped post priming. Specifically, the female trooper's left leg.

Finding them easy to remove yet several in really hard places to get at
