For a 101 squad, I'd say triple Defenders. Get two Tie Defender expansion packs and two Imp Vet packs for about $90 to make this:

Edit: After posting this, I started thinking about some of the other options in these packs and thought of two interesting alternatives. Instead of getting a 2nd Defender pack, get either a TIE/fo pack or a TIE punisher (the punisher is 5 bucks more expensive, but should still be in the 101 limit). With the /fo pack, you get the standard Omega Leader build, and he’s an excellent spotter for Vessery. The Punisher pack will get you Mk. 2 Ion Engines that can help your Defenders be more stress resistant and extra munitions. With the addition of extra munitions, you can outfit Deathfire with Ion Pulse Missiles (from the Defender pack) and Cluster Mines (from Vet Imps) for a dangerous little ordnance user. Throw on Long Range Scanners, and this guy comes in for 26 points of something the enemy can’t really let live for long.

Anyway, just some extra thoughts I had.

(one reb aces, one single of each :B-wing and A-wing. Oh and fill the remaining $40 with an X-wing and Y-wing blister so you can run SNES as well. Finish it off with a dice pack).

Happy Friday. Man, I was stressed this past week due to work. I faced a real tournament list tonight. It pissed me off. I got angry. I need to drink more to not think of work....and tournament lists.

Ghost + Phantom 2 + Falcon (for engine upgrades) and spend the rest on snacks hahaha

I like to play this list nowadays so I will make it 60USD and use the other 40USD for a gaming mat because it's nice to have something pretty to play on:

I reckon I'd grab 2x G4H and 2x StarVipers, then run 3x Black Sun Enforcers with MkII and Autothrusters, and 1x Thweek with MkII and Autothrusters and a meager 1pt bid.

yeah you can make ghost cancer (the deadliest cancer, undoubtedly) relatively cheaply so there's that

if you can cheat and get PTL + crackshot cheaply (since they're flooded with alt arts from tournament kits), you can get a fairly thematic squad with a Silencer + Tie/FO + E-wing [force awakens core]

Since you've got the money, I'd suggest trading the Viper for a Silencer to get Adv. Optics as well.

And trade the TIE for an old Falcon so that you get Chewbacca crew and Engine Upgrade.

No joke I had a toddler with a 103 fever that projectile vomited hard and fast, he had trajectory simulator equipped.

the worst part was when @heychadwick said he had no time to play me this week, it was super sad.
