I have very much been on the fence about getting Legion (I'm in the "I have so little time and still haven't unboxed or played Armada or IA so I will stick with XWing and EotE" camp) and then at the weekend I was in Michael's craft store with my wife and was looking at the Legion Terrain FB page as I browsed the model making stuff. She saw the pics I was looking at and, being a particularly inventive and crafty person, she said "Oh, that looks great! Is that a game? That looks fun, and we could build the terrain together."

So, we went straight from there to my FLGS and pre-ordered the core and a few expansions, and she has since started putting together a Tatooine landscape. I just mentioned that I was going to run out later today and grab my pre-orders and she asked if they would have a demo kit setup so we could try it together.

I have never been able to get her into XWing (I think it's too abstract) but due to Legion's more 'tactical' and relatable (to her) gameplay, I think my marriage may have just got up-leveled

That is amazing! So great for both of you to be able to share the hobby, and its fantastic that she also wants to try out the game, even if it was making terrain that got her interested

Nice! A perfect excuse to get into the game. Some people enjoy the building and painting more than the playing, but it's awesome that she's into it.

Actually, please share pics when you have the chance. I would love to see a woman’s asthetics and take in this game. I’m sure there are nuances that they would have thought of that we may miss.

Who knows, maybe a few years down the line Fantasy Flight will have mixed doubles in their tournaments. ?
