Plot: At the Wall
4 – 2 – 1
It is considered that you use an additional The North Agenda

Ps Remember that I'm not spanish... and I'm not English... so forgive strange translations and missing ones ;-)

I was trying to figure out how At The Wall works, but it looks like it would help reduce Wolves of the North or any other card that is lowered buy the number of North agendas a player is running. Does that mean we might see one or more of these, or some other mechanic that might involve North agendas?

Seems like that's the case. At The Wall may become a standard plot for The North Agenda decks, just like A Time for Ravens is pretty standard for any season heavy deck.

I think Bara got the most love in this one. Any thoughts on FFG printing a neutral The Iron Throne again?

Easily the best CP of the cycle (and for "what I play" the best CP so far)

Finally some "little" Stark love with an event that will be great in many situation. Great when you have not control of the table and you cannot win a challenge... with this event you can (And maybe with a claim 2).

I don't love this Jon snow, but maybe he will combo in some way... for now in a NW theme deck I'll use The core set one with LONGCLAW (I think a new Jon Snow will be available in the future Core Set Stark with a new Ghost too).

Totally Bara Love... future new tier 1 I think... new melisandre spoiled is awesome... next CP will have new Stannis... Margarey is incredible... Salladhor mens will help filling the table. Cost 4, I play Salladhor men > for free Renly > for free Royal entourage!!!.

Great cards for Targa too... event will help burn deck like no other... threat of the north and 3 influnce and you'll have a bleeds only for the opponent. Then another good card for a future noble targa deck.

NO LANNI LOVE > great news, game is balancing

Greyjoy > very GOOD warship card. unluckly there is the conditionally "out of play" statement, but it is not a thing that you cannot manage at all and for a 1 gold it is a great card. Intimidate unopp deck will be greats.

Orell the Eagle is a wildling neutral card... but it is perfect for grey :-)

great draw event for NW... finally an easy way to draw 2 cards!!! Stark and Bara with NW will be my decks defending the North

good event for Wildlings... Grey/Wildling deck will be my deck attacking the North :-) Staelth, Intimidate... GRRRRRR!!!

Martell: very good Starfall > but we cannot speack about LOVE... since we are in the North it is normal that Lanni and Martell were better in KL shadow cycle.

Last thing > I don't know why for builders they let possibility to the opponent to shuffle decks > That could be the possibility to un "Secret hideout" and finally use that card with that awesome art :-) Recycle would be good for stark.

my 2 cents :-)

Yeah, this is an amazing chapter for Bara. And Jon Snow from CS plus Claw = Robert Baratheon, which is awesome too.

Hmmm, that Targ event looks promising :) Unlike Martell, Targ still has some open slots for events. (It'd be nice to pull out some of the attachments that cost gold for events that do not.)

again, while there is nothing wrong with the cards, except maybe margery (no crest? ability doesn't really do anything for me as she misses when revealeds), i'm unimpressed with the bara cards. why? its all lateral moves.

a 3 gold location or 3x of an event to win dom...

a 0 cost limited one shot location or a 4 cost no renown uncrested character to reduce costs...

Maergery tyrell or Maergery Tyrell...

so I can either pick or choose simular effects that don't really help me against control or i can pack both in and be annoyed when I can't draw into the good stuff in my deck.

heres a question. why is kneel cheaper then reducing as a character trait? the bara guy is a gold extra over enemy informer everything else (str ratio not str) is the same, expcet kneel messes with opponents board (more valuable to me).

plus i draw this guy and a location or event in round 4 w/ an empty hand its not really doing a whole lot for me. Bara is still stuck in having to win by turn 3, but still being extremly vunerable to kneel because there is only a couple of characters that can help them do that. Yes, mel will help, but so far its the only card that does and is still a number of cps away. Draw would also make these cards better...but doesn't draw make everything better?

Targ's loyal shield would have been an awesome bara card....for 6 gold though it still might be worth it (but then bara gets housed by lanni MwnK...)

GJ's naval escort is even a good baratheon card (can't be used OOH) as it makes a use out of aegon's card or Irone Throne

Things i like in the CP:

From the top...double bonus on location control.

Sword of darkness.......gross

Feast of crows.....no, thats how you are supposed to burn (btw if red keep wasn't in your targ deck already its time to put the crack pipe down)

Stark event....if stark can get any kill out side of bear island they will own the military (kind of like the books, win all the battles lose the war...)...battle of oxcross combo too

Orell...'cancels' chump blocking!

Nights watch builder's could be interesting do that then search....Question, do you have to have 2 cards to put top 2 back in?

I kinda of like lanni's discard pile return guys....negates the trait use them to always have a lanni character 'in hand' for castellan

Longclaw....yikes its going to be fun to compelled by the rock that sucker.

Loyal shield...~I think they 'forgot' to print can't change control too :P

Naval Escort...makes a sick use out of resource locations

Red Keep + Threat of North + Feast of Crows = Mass Murder...

I am heartily with Lars in his assessment of the new chapter pack.

Baratheon to Tier 1? Based on tehse three cards? LOL. Rolling on the floor LOL

I don't know about you - but my Baratheon decks are already jam packed at the four gold slot. in afct, this slkot is such a prmeium that those anti shadows guys don't even make the cut - and I am desperate to be able to hamtring the super prevalent Shadows builds around here. But Baratehon's best chance is to roll to 15 before they get their lock in place, and in this environment that means the follwoing:

A four or five card flop

Thus allowing you to get 13-14 cards into your draw deck by first Marshalling. Then with +1 card per turn form effects - getting to 20 of your sixty crads by Turn three. Of those 20 crads, four must be renown characters with some form of stand and lots and lots of Claim soak and protection. Baratheon already has the reducer slot filled with the excellent 0 cost Seat of Power. Salladhor's Dudes - at four gold - will only serve to jam up your flow of pricey characters with renown and super cheap utility characters.

Margeary? Gee - letting an opponent cycle to or back to his reset more quickly just doens't seem like a good strategy for this House. Nor does accelerating the effect of city Plots. Thanks - but I'll stick with the Margeary who blanks texts in every build - when THAT card even makes the cut.

The Iron Throne is nice - but winning Domiannce doens't speed up the rush enough to warrant a slot at three gold. Maybe if you had some Dominanace effects that added to Baratheon's theme - it would rate another look.

Lars said it well - lots of duplication of effect here, and nothing as solid as what they already have. thsi CP doens't put them into the upper echelon.

But Greyjoy now - there looks to be a nasty Greyjoy-Wildling build coming together here.

Greyjoy Wildlings is already in my mind and the same thing for Stark/Night's watch. My saying "Baratheon tier 1" is based not only to these cards but also to the Melisandre spoiled and the "thinking" of new Stannis... then the most important thing, this sentence is based to the fact that I hope lannister will have not good cards :-)

That makes a bit more sense, Gualdo. the new Mel is going to be an All Star and if we get a bomb Stannis like we have seen in the past (RoK rmeains one of my all time favorites) they will climb up the rnaks pretty darn quickly.

he needs to be costed UNDER five gold though....otherwise teh COre set one is going to see more play porbably.

How about Loyal Shield in Baratheon? :)

No Baratheon player I know is going to be happy paying 6 for him. People don't play a whole lot of in-House characters at a cost of 6, and there's more of a chance those can be reduced. LCG-Baratheon doesn't have nearly as many Noble characters as people seem think, anyway. Their concentration tends to be Holy. If you're going to play him OOH, Stark is the better choice - and 6 is still going to be cost prohibitive.

Yes KTom is right on Bara's lack of noble crests in LCG. I just went looking for more yesterday are realised Bob, Stannis, Renly and text-blanking Margaery are it. :-(

its still the most at 4 though i do wish dual house joff had a noble crest (and maybe a tweak to his ability by adding 'another noble crest' so that he is no usable for his own ability)

stark also has the most w/ 4 (they have a few different versions of those 4 but can only get 4 in the deck at once)

targ has 3 (w/ 3 more possible due to its attachment)

lanni has 3 (w/ varying versions)

martell also has 3 w/ Doran who is much better in melee then joust

GJ is holding the bottom up w/ only 1

so it still makes the most sense to run this guy out of stark or bara though i guess if you want to use 6 slots in targ to make it worthwhile you could.

While the 6 gold is a problem, its not the reason I won't be running him (If I really wanted him I'd run alliance) its that its a commitment to a character that can by countered very easily w/ MwnK...(yes roll your eyes, but that card is becoming even more shortsighted pack by pack and card by card....~ooooh lets release Alliance to encourage OOH...~ohhhhh lets release 3 themes (kingsguard/NW/wildling) and devote a lot of space in two chapter pack cycles to neutral characters....)

Don't forget the dual House Littlefinger (for your Lannister count, too). And there's always the conditional crest on Jack-of-all-Trades, letting Stark go as high as 8 in a deck - to Bara's 7.

To me, that gap is wider than it seems. The Stark Nobles tend to create more synergy among them than the Bara Nobles.

good catch on littlefinger.

I'm missing the synergy in stark nobles. one is stalwart, one is winter, one is kill, one is attachment draw, one is an army reducer, and is a defender. Of them all only 2 have renown. I can see a little synergy between littlefinger and winterCatlyen, but thats about it. OF the 4 bara 3 have renown, 2 have rush friendly mechinics, and renly goes well w/ power struggle.

edit: I guess newest eddard (bo i wish he was dual house not just cheaper OOH) is synergistic, but he works in either house.

Re: Jack of all trades....not sure its worth the slot in two 'influence lite' houses.

Just to remark an errata corrice: Margaery is Noble ;-)

In most games I've seen, Bara plays more duplicates of its noble-crested characters than Stark. In fact, in any given game, it seems like Bara is more likely to take full advantage of Power of Blood, hence the impression that Bara has a ton of noble characters (when in fact it doesn't). I think 3x Robert, 2-3x Renly, 1-2x Stannis, and 1x Margery is typical in most of the Bara decks I've seen. Also, unlike some of the other houses, Bara has a lot of support for lord/lady mechanics, so running duplicates of nobles (who have the lord/lady traits) has great synergy with the rest of Bara's mechanics. (I agree that Stark's nobles have strong synergy, but I'm not sure their noble mechanics necessarily compliment the house as a whole as well as Bara's do for their house.)

Can anyone share what the x1, x3 breakdown is? I'm so looking forward to the next chapter pack format without this x1 x3 nonsense...

With the next "Brotherhood with no banners" cycle new format will be in place. Related to the 3rd CP, cards 1x are:

Agenda
Plot
longclaw
Orell the eagle
Jon Snow
Margaery Tyrell
Iron Throne
Stallward Shield
The Hatchlings feast
Feigned retreat

Bah, the translation of Naval Escort fails to mention that you must kneel a Warship location. This card just went from a 4/5 to a 2/3 :(

is it kneel x warship locations? that sucks.

or

is it kneel a warship location and x locations? thats not bad at all just makes naval escort not count towards x.

Rogue30 has the cards up from A Sword in the Darkness CP.

The Naval Escort according to his site has the following text:

If you do not control at least 1 HG character, discard Naval Escort from play.

Any Phase: Kneel X Warship locations to choose X characters. Until the end of the phase, those characters get +X STR.

So you have to attack with several characters for the pump to be strong, but if you do it seems quite good. (In GJ, even a +1 STR seems decent with infamy though.) I could see this location going either way...definitely useful if you have warships sitting around that you aren't using, or else some way to stand and remove characters from challenges (so that you can swing with 2-3 characters, then stand and remove the extra but keep the bonus).
