Slayn and Korpil

By Sasebo75, in X-Wing Squad Lists

Hello All,

I just picked up a B/SF-17 Bomber and wanted to make a thematic list for casual play. Let me know what you think.

Keyan Farlander (7) - Rage, Collision Detector, B-Wing/E2, Inspiring Recruit = 32

Ibtisam (6+1) - Adaptability, Collision Detector, Linked Battery, B-Wing/E2, Hera Syndulla = 32

Crimson Specialist (4) - Accuracy Corrector, Bomblet Generator, Sensor Cluster, Deflective Plating = 36

Yes, Yes, I know, B/SF-17 without Trajectory Simulator but I wanted to be a little different. I like Crimson Specialist's ability so I don't think it will be missed. Plus with Accuracy Corrector, Crimson Specialist could still be a thorn on offense. I would use the focus action to give a better chance at survival a little longer due to Sensor Cluster. I also know that B-Wing melt faster than butter on a hot day but I wanted it to be thematic, why does Incom get all the spotlight! Plus, I Love B-Wings so I Love Slayn and Korpil. LOL.

The bomber looks like a giant B-wing, so it does kinda fit. Even with crimson specialist, trajectory simulator is definitely worth it over accuracy corrector. Plus, the extra points could mean putting Sabine in the crew slot for one of those B's. I get why you have Hera on Ibtisam, but Sabine is Sabine.

This is my opinion. It doesn't mean your list wouldn't work. There are a lot of low agility ships in the meta. And AC would be a counter to sensor jammer on the ghost. The bomber would melt faster than the ghost, but if it's taking shots while the B-wing's go to town, you could still win.

For one more point you can have the (in my mind) much better Keyan with Maul and your choice of free EPT. He is WAY more adaptable, and has great maneuverability AND offensive effectiveness. I took him to Regionals this weekend and made top 4.

I, for one, LOVE that CrimSpec!

I think Wired would make Ibtisam golden.

Thanks Biggsy_boy and Greebwahn,

I plan to run this next week when I can play again.
