Zion's Finest - Episode 025 - The Gordian Knot Is Severed!

By kennydkbrown, in Imperial Assault Skirmish

NEWS FLASH PEOPLE: THE META IS SOLVED AND WE CAN ALL GO HOME. JUST KIDDING IT'S WIDE OPEN AND WE'RE ALL GOING TO LOSE UNLESS WE GET SERIOUS ABOUT LISTBUILDING. In this episode, JK, Wise-Sam, and Kenny each discuss two lists that they are working on in order to solve particular meta problems. JK discusses Scum Hunters (sans IG) and Terro Troopers, Sam discusses his beloved Rebel Heroes (without LANDO?!) and Vader Palp, and Kenny discusses Ahsoka Ko-Tun Rangers and the Lovers Box.
The discussion revolves around what each list brings to confront the major problems of the current meta (IG, Han and Rangers, Vader/Palp, and Trooper Swarm), individual eccentricities, and closes with some general musings.

Love this podcast it's my favourite, I got a question for you guys for your next episode; what are the two most competitive lists you could build out of ONE set, meaning just one of each product (maybe two of the cheaper blisters). This is obviously a selfish question for myself but I still think it is worth while answering and a neat challenge :)

We'll get cracking on it @FrogTrigger. Most of my lists, though, only need one set, because I run primarily unique Rebel heroes. But I think even most Empire and Merc lists can get away with one of everything (have one eJet and one eRiot instead of two of either, etc.).

But we'll do an episode about this topic soon!

I only have 1 of everything so no duplicate deployments generally speaking. Theres absolutely no reason you have to buy 2 of anything to be competitive.

Ok I think I need to clarify, two people playing from one set. So that means one of each deployment card and one of each command card, but two lists. It's a bit trickier than you think ;)

but prove me wrong, please !

I don't think it is that tricky, you just do two different factions and two different archtypes. the only truly contested card you are going to have is negation, but outside that it shouldn't be too hard.
