U not happy @Cubanboy ???

Some people think that no Armada announcement means the sky is falling. I think no "Happy Friday" post is more disconcerting.

Should we send help?

There was no joy in Armadaville, Mighty GAMA has struck out.

Armada forum, unofficial morale officer, Cubanboy avoided posting his usual "Happy Friday" message. When asked for comment, he would only say "Something Big is coming!"

One of the original members of our weekly group who has been unable to play for nearly a year is coming out to get some matches in. We're looking to have 7 or 8 of us out tonight. I may be able to get 2 or 3 games in!

Saturday is drunken shenanigans with old college friends.

Sunday is A FREAKIN' ARMADA TOURNAMENT AT THE LGS!!! Sure, it may only end up being 4 of us at best, but the store is trying.

Although the owner has had 3 X Wing tournaments in a row with 0 turnout and has claimed it dead. In reality it's kinda underground with the last 6 of us who do play.

I am spending this Friday, as I have every Friday for the past three months, preparing for comprehensives. I feel like all I do anymore is read. I haven't had interaction with anyone outside my wife and child in forever. I don't know how people without families do it. At least I get to see them.
Tomorrow is...the same thing.

You've got my sympathy, and it's important to keep in mind that eventually it'll be over. I got my MA in one year using an accelerated program and it meant every week I was doing around 400 pages of graduate-level academic reading plus discussion and writing papers and it was basically academia **** where all I did was study. I got to see my fiance (now wife) for a day or two every weekend and it's what kept me going.

Happy Friday to all! It was a great week! I was able to play 4 games of Armada week. It was the most I have played in a week period since last years Steele Open. I could still play 4 more. Can’t get enough.

I ended up doing a class with my wife which was only suppose to be 10 minutes that turned into 3 hours. My wife asked me to put the phone down and pay attention. Afterwards I passed out in my bed which in the morning my son was in my bed next to my wife and I was sleeping in his room. .....

i have no idea what happened.

my wife said the class was helping her friend who is becoming a teacher sooo.
