Thoughts?

Prockets arent needed. You are ps1 and at range 1, the double attack with the cannon and 4 dice primary is better. Cruise missiles however, with chips, could be a sweet round 2 or 3 follow up shot especially if they are ion'd. 4k behind the enemy, Target lock em before the enemy moves. Two 5 dice missiles = ouchies.

Also could use the points to upgrade to ryad or glaives.

You will want twin ion engines on Jonus using fleet officer. Id probably go with cool hand for that first round opening engagement jonus could have a focus and evade. You want people to spend a couple rounds on jonus. If he gets 1 rounded, thats not good. And if they go after your defenders first, not good either.

TIE Defender: Glaive squadron pilot (35)
TIE/D (0)
•A Score to Settle (0)
Tractor Beam (1)

TIE Bomber: •Captain Jonus (27)
Twin Ion Engine Mk. II (1)
TIE Shuttle (0)
Cool Hand (1)
Fleet Officer (3)
Courier Droid (0)

TIE Defender: •Countess Ryad (38)
TIE/D (0)
Crack Shot (1)
Ion Cannon (3)

Total: 100/100

I'd also suggest dumping the Proton Rockets. I haven't found much use for ordnance on a TIE/D. It's almost always better to do a Ion/Tractor + Primary double tap, if for no other reason than the control aspect of it. Also lets you bump up the pilots a tad, and/or throw on some TIE Mk. II.

That Glaive really should be Maarek. If you are even remotely considering a Score to Settle on a Defender, Maarek is your man! In this case, I'd drop either TIE mk 2 or crack shot to get it.

Hmmm.
You'd almost be better off with a Fleet Officer TIE Shuttle + Twin Ion MK II and two PS6+ Defenders with Predator.

Edit, thusly:

Scimitar Squadron Pilot — TIE Bomber 16
Fleet Officer 3
Twin Ion Engine Mk. II 1
TIE Shuttle 0
Ship Total: 20
Glaive Squadron Pilot — TIE Defender 34
Predator 3
Ion Cannon 3
TIE/D 0
Ship Total: 40
Glaive Squadron Pilot — TIE Defender 34
Predator 3
Ion Cannon 3
TIE/D 0
Ship Total: 40

Rerolls on all the things (!), and tokens for defense.

Like someone else mentioned, @hothie has a running thread in Battle Reports about dual TIE/D's.

I've run a similar list to some success in tournaments/regionals, and thought I'd throw in a few thoughts.

If you're going to run two TIE/D, consider pushing to Maarek & Rexler, matching at PS9 with VI and Adaptability. Given some extra focus actions via Fleet Officer those crits will make or break your engagements. Being able to flip several cards face up, or drawing 3 for Blinded, etc is invaluable.

Vessery and Ryad are a fun combo, but you're relegated to maintaining a TL or you waste your Pilot Ability. TIE/D need the focus action for defense or they die real quick.

If you're determined to run Vessery, pair him with something that carries FCS to take advantage of his ability. You'll want the double focus for defense via Fleet Officer.

I ran QD/Vessery Ion/TIE Shuttle w Fleet Officer/Tactician at regionals and it did well until I had to drop.

That being said, you're beholden to dice variance moreso than others. Unlucky streaks will just end games, unfortunately.

Best of luck! It's fun when it works :)

My friend, my buddy, my man - I saw a chap fly basically this list last year at regionals, and it TORE UP. I would agree - ditch the Prockets. After that, give Jonus a bit more - Rebel Captive and Ysanne really help him stay alive, which you want. HotCop or Fleet Officer really improve your other guys' chances. You could go with both survivors, both offenders, or one of each for balance.

I ran this to second at a store championship:

2x Glaives with Tractor Beams

Jonus with Systems Officer, Fleet Officer and TIE MkII.

I had Wired in that list but I would skip it now and take Crack Shot on the 2 Glaives (whereas previously I had it only on 1 and had trick shot on the other).
