I want clarify if my game group is playing correctly. If a card, which their are many, say gain your full compliment of spells or may gain a spell if your craft allows and the player has 2 spells in hand and a craft of 5, that player does not get to gain any spells.

This questions comes up because all other cards pretaining to craft, strenght, Life, and fate allow you to go above your starting amount.

I will make this question easier.

If you have your full compliment of spells and a card say gain a spell.

Do you..... 1. Draw a new spell and discard or

2. Not gain a spell

Well, you can go above your starting amount of Spells as well (Priest and Druid for example start with 1, but have Craft 4, enough for 2 Spells). What you can't do is go above your maximum allowed (except if you have that one Treasure IIRC), so if you're full, you can't get a new Spell.
