Bombs Away!

Emon Azzamen with Cad Bane, bomblet generator, burnout SLAM, andrasta, ion bomb, and engine upgrade.

Kath Scarlet with VI, cluster mine, slave 1, extra munitions, scav crane, and engine upgrade.

total 99pts

probably totally useless but I do love my multiple large base ships and don't mind it not being tier 1 of the meta :)

I would honestly switch up your choices a bit and put the Ions on Kath and the Clusters on Emon. Kath is super unlikely to drop useful bombs anyway as no one wants to be behind her. EU on Emon is less important since you’re at lowish PS, I might trade it to upgrade Kath’s bomb to a prox mine or clusters on both instead - dice rolling bombs make Cad happy. Fearlessness on Kath might be funny, up to six hits behind at range one! With that in mind Dengar crew might be good for those dice mods.”

Bomb-sprays is a good concept and I’ve been on the receiving end of a well flown Emon with clusters, it’s pretty scary!

this is almost identical to my go-to Ketsu build, only difference being I like adding in a Scav Crane to get the countermeasures back

i might have to give this one a go, the Kath build is one I'm used to when I run her as a gunship, although I have been known to swap dengar for tailgunner on Kath and then either run a 1pt bid or upgrade adaptability to VI or Fearlessness

What I love about this specific Emon build is the fact that your opponent will be driven mad in between all the locations where bombs and mines could be. Just save the mines for crucial moments and be more liberate with dropping bombs to keep your opponent under pressure.

I understand both your choices concerning Kath ept and crew. This comes down to taste - I found that being free to choose whom to move first is valuable with these large ships, therefore the adaptability to 6.
