I loved the Kihraxz even before it got it's fix last year, but even with the fix the ship is still lacking a bit. And I think the biggest reason is even though it can take 3 mods now, and gets a 1 point discount for each one, since there are few cheap mods available, you still have to pay several points if you want the good ones, and that just adds to the ship's cost and makes it less efficient.
Currently there's only a single 1 point mod the ship can take, and that's Munitions Failsafe, which is useless if you don't take secondary weapons, and still very likely useless even if you do because of guidance chips and so forth. It would be nice to have more 1 point mods available to all ships (or at least all small ships), so that the Kihraxz could take advantage of getting them for free.
Frankly I'm surprised FFG didn't include a couple brand new 1 point mods with the release, including possibly making one or more Kihraxz exclusive.
That would help bridge the gap between the Kihraxz and it's cousin the T-65 X-Wing, as between IA, FA Astros, and the new stuff about to come out, X-Wings will jump way ahead of the Kihraxz for usability.
