The Sovereign was a class of warship nearly as long as the Eclipse Class and even wider than the Executor Class . While Dark Horse comics created the ship, and Michael Allen Horne wrote up the ships abilities, I got to name her and her sister ships, the Autarch, the Despot, and the Heresiarch .

As of Darth Vader Comic #13, the name has given to Grand Moff Tarkin’s Flagship.

While the class of warship is not the same as the original 1991 behemoth, I’m still happy as a well fed Hutt! Grand Moff Tarkin is my favorite Star Wars character.

I had always pushed for the ISD Tyrant which I had also named (for Topps cards) to be his flagship but that never made it into Canon. That ship is still part of Death Squadron in current Canon.

The ISD Sovereign was in the old canon if I remember correctly. It was Palpatine's.

Neither warship was the vanguard of our destruction.

The Sovereign I named was a new class of ships, more than seven times the length and mass of an ISD.

I doubt the ISD you named predates 1991, but I am happy they later used it in EU to establish the nomenclature.

Guessing Tarkin didn't like his personal gift from Palpatine, the ISD Executrix.

The ISD Executrix was presented to Grand Moff Tarkin when he was still a Moff.

By the time he was made Grand Moff he had Ninety Six Imperial Class Star Destroyers under his direct Command and many hundreds more in Over Sector Outer. He had the pick of the liter.

This current Sovereign seems to have many special units attached to it, perhaps why he chose it as his Flagship for this Campaign.

It’s actually pretty rare that NuCanon includes anything from Before the Dark Times, so yeah take it!

The Eclipse is Canon again, currently we are uncertain if it is her own class or a later Executor class of warship.

Getting the name in is twice as important to me because it’s Grand Moff Tarkin’s Flagship, and I love the character valorous Imperial Hero.

I'm told by those that have previewed the most recent work: Star Wars Encyclopedia of Starfighters and Other Vehicles - that it confirms the newcanon Eclipse as an Executor-class.

Cool that you named it! BUt like Dras already said it's been canon for awhile now. I also think it was in one of the books. Maybe Catalyst? Or Tarkin?

Did that appear in the Chimaera expansion?! I have it unopened in San Diego and I am based in Manhattan. I will see her in May.

I ship most my gaming stuff to Cali and only get to see them a few times a year. Such is life in the Empire State.
