TIE Advanced Prototype Title and TL

By direweasel, in X-Wing Rules Questions

I did try the search function without success, so if this has been asked before, my apologies. I just want to verify that I've been playing something right.

The Advanced title allows you to gain a free evade action after acquiring a target lock. So can I use my action to Target Lock the same ship I target locked the previous turn and didn't use? In other words, the target is already locked, and I'm locking him again so I can get the evade. Is that a legal action? I've been playing that it is - after all, it does still cost me my action for the turn.

Thanks!

Never mind - found the answer in a section of the rules I seem to have missed the first time.

  • A ship can acquire a new target lock on a ship that it already has locked; the old target lock is removed.

Thanks anyway :)

Yes.

Note that if you use Push the Limit, you can do your first action (e.g. focus), TL as your second action, then take the free evade action, then gain the stress token.

Good times :)

PTL might be just the thing for him in a different squadron - I'm out of points in this one!
