Have most of the good players stopped playing?

A few got tired of the "buy the new expansions to auto-win" model that FFG favors, but most of us are still here and we've got some new blood recently.

I also know of a few that stopped after the first batch of balance erratas (Aka Nerfratas).

Those poor guys.

What no Dengaroo?! I'm taking my business elsewhere!

See ya! (or not)

Actually the guy was a swarm player. You may have seen some of his videos about formation set up on YouTube.

Still such a comment is not surprising from NerfHerders like you. I remember when calling another batch of nerfs on Jumpmasters not doing the job and again people called me the Noob that only uses U-boats. Just me netlisting with my one Punishing One expansion since I didn't see a need to buy a 2nd one.

Aaaah! Now I finally understand. Are you really that salty that Jumpmasters aren‘t outright easy mode anymore? And I thought you had a nobler motivation

Fair, but I’ve also been hearing of people who’ve gotten back into the game because of the nerfs. It’s a double edged sword to be sure, but considering X-Wing as a whole doesn’t seem to be terminally hemorrhaging players, it actually works.

I enjoy that your comment begins with name-calling and ends with (paraphrasing) "people are so unfair with their name-calling." If you want sympathy it's best not to engage in the same behaviors first.

What, precisely, makes me a Nerfherder? The fact that I find quitting the game over them ridiculous? Quitting the game over nerfs is certainly less ridiculous than continuing to play a game you seem to no longer enjoy and troll every thread you can find with complaining about nerfs.

Maybe "nerfherders" is a binary label to you? Either you obsess about nerfs and whine incessantly about how bad they are, or you're a nerfherder? Because clearly feeling that they should be used extremely rarely and conservatively makes me a nerfherder. That's a pretty wide net you're casting.

I'm a Nerf Herder and proud of it. I hope to attend the next one too.

(It's an annual charity tournament held in Hull each October.)

Still here, still flying TiE Fighters, Strikers and Decimators. Can't say it's unsucessful, every other player I know still engaged, plus two new players casually playing X-Wing since they're more into Armada.
