Indeed, and the rumors that I hear is that they will indeed be producing a watered-down version for standard play, and something more powerful for some sort of epic play. I agree that the bigger the better in terms of making it feel right.

Where I disagree with you is that the scale issues are prohibitive. I hear that they've play-tested it, and they're going to be introducing it soon. The rumors I've heard may be wrong. I think they're right, and I think that many people will buy it - enough to make it a money-maker for them, even if it will probably not be their biggest profit maker.

Yes, I've heard rumors from people I trust not to be blowing smoke up my rear, but I'm not the only one who's heard of playtesting of the SSD. That was a while ago already. I heard something a few months ago, that the SSD would be brought out soon, and it would have an epic and a standard-play version. The latter would be a mere shadow of the epic version.

But that's all I got.

That's all still very interesting information. It is all news to me. While Im not a one of the pro-SSD group, I have an open mind. Ill be interested to see what they come up with.
