This is really cool. Seems like a campaign for store play, with item support. I think this game will live or die by its store participation, and it looks like FFG knows that. Not to say you can't just play in your garage but if they can keep the retail stores hyped (like for X wing), then the content should follow.

Very cool concept. My new guy goal is to win one of the painting awards. My real-life goal is to hope my local store of choice does this on a week night I am actually in town.

The other thing they seem to be aware of is that tournament play is a little beyond the realm of the initial offerings, but that they need to get organized play up and running sooner rather than later. Getting people used to going to their local store to play and getting the community developed at the stores will keep the game going while list building is still super limited.

It seems like a really cool OP program. But seeing as I'm going to have to be catching trains to out of town stores to play in the community I hope those stores carry on with 1 day events, rather than leagues.

Ditto on single day events. It's much easier for me to fit a single day of back to back games into my schedule then multi-day events, unless they last over a month.
